Why in Hell would anyone want a dictator? Don't folks value their own freedom and rights?

Just look at all the clapping. The silver lining to Dictator Trump is that at least liberals will never get control back and we'll never be like Venezuela. Well, except for the dictator part. But that isn't the bad part of Venezuela, the bad part is the socialism.

Well -- I'm less surprised than I was in 2016. I guess I know there are many, many Assholes, male and female, albatrosses around our necks.

If only they'd go back to their home galaxy. If only my assessment were correct, and they had one elsewhere.

It would actually make the Space Force a good investment. Then, risen from crocodile piss, and great enough again.

Well, you see, that’s the trick. Dictator Dotard would never hurt his chosen ones, they think - he’ll only hurt their perceived enemies.

Reminds me of that story when that Trump supporter told a reporter that “He’s not hurting the people he needs to be.”

The reason that Chavez and Maduro were bad for Venezuela is underscored by their ignorance. This, Trump shares with them. And if the Trumpies have in mind the dismantling of the mixed economy, then we damn well better have a civil war. A lot of good that will do on the world stage. But I'm getting tired of this tedium, when there are so many dots to connect to the Criminal, Liar and likely Traitor -- I could embrace it.

These idiots clearly misunderestimate the problems their chosen leaders can and do create for them.

Sound familiar?

For the same reason they support trump in the first place, they are just stupid. But it proves that republicans hate the US Constitution.

Not to mention that this is the same mindset that allowed Hitler to rise to power.

Methinks many Repubs see the writing on the wall prophesying their demise as a racist/supremacist/evangelist political entity, all of them foreseeing how their numbers will dwindle to a point where they will be relegated to cult status.

Small wonder it all inevitably leads to the conclusion that creating a sock puppet dictatorship owned and operated by the aristocrat class is the only alternative for the Repub Party to remain viable.

Of course, the supreme irony in this is that their commoners, their working stiffs, the ones that will suffer the most from this unholy unconstitutional form of "government" are the very ones that will make this nightmare come true.

I remember watching an interview with this black man, tattooed all over, claiming to be a nazi and that white is the superior race. Fact that he is black did not change this objective truth in his opinion. It is what it is!
It was one of many scenes that has stuck with me as evidence of what the human mind is capable of.
That clip in the OP surprises me not one bit.

I have heard of black folks like that when I was younger, but I thought was an Uncle Tom parody.

I think people do value the rights and freedoms they use, but if they don't use them, they don't care about them.

Their mindset is: "I will never need an abortion, why does anyone need that right. I don't need a gun, why does anyone need one? I don't petition the government or practice other religions, who needs that right?" If their beliefs line up with their leaders, then they would be fine if he prevented others from believing something different. It downright scary and its why we get dictators.

The irony is how much Trump has been attacking socialism as harmful, yet a dictatorship usually creates the worst kind of socialism.

The actual issue is that they value their own freedom and rights so much that they believe (falsely of course) that only a dictator can protect them. Theirs is a fear-driven mentality, and one that is easily exploited by ambitious and amoral leaders, like Trump.

Sorta like someone is so afraid of HIV being spread by needles, they think taking the risk with Measels, Mumps, Polio, Chickenpox, Diphtheria, Tetanus, Influenza, Hepatitis A & B, Rubella is worth it?

Why doesn't that surprise me?

I viewed this clip as the inevitable conclusion of bothsideism propaganda. They think democrats are on a path of installing a socialist dictatorship, and they think of it as inevitability. After all how many times have we heard that about Obama? And if there is going to be a dictator, let it be one that is going to be on their side.

These past two years are really having me question if the United States is going to survive.
