The show must go on? Its hard to say without all the facts, maybe the siezure girl is prone to siezures? Anyone here can read korean and find out more info? Either way it does look totally fvcked up. I hope that girl is alright.

This has been covered in Korean news/internet. Koreans are disgusted that no one attempted to help immediately, and rightfully so. What a shame! :|

To the OP, wtf do you mean "gj Korea?"

He means "good job" Korea.

:D

seriously though, no offense intended. just sarcasm + silly internet speech/slang/meme.

Its a sarcasm thing. to be fair though that all happened in like 30 seconds, its not like they left her up there for minutes or something. I think it was just unfortunate and its just being blown out of proportion since it was on public television and since it looks pretty horrible.

Instead of idiots they look like callous jerks who don't give a damn that someone just outright collapsed.

i remember in college my professor started having seizures,

the entire class of maybe 200 just sat in shock as to what was happening in front of us and i remember 3 girls ran screaming out of the classroom in panic.

humorous but i can see how generally people would just stand there, seems like an eternity, just having thought process: "wtf.............now what do we do?!?!?"

Yea. Anyways, i've had friends with the same disease or condition. He would have seizures randomly. There really is nothing you can do. Just stop them from hurting themselves (by trying to hold them down) but otherwise you cant stop the seizures.

Maybe we have different senses of humor but I find exactly nothing "humorous" about a professor having a seizure in front of a class.

What about a professor falling on his ass off the stage as he address first year students in their first ever lecture?

That was gold. :D

It probably had to do with all the flashing lights. Couldn't they have stopped the performance since they were just lip-syncing anyway?

I had a friend have a seizure in front of me after he saw some blinking lights on the computer. It was scary and I sat there in complete shock because I didn't know what to do.

You probably should not try and hold them down because depending on the severity of their seizures you could end up causing them to break bones and/or damage cartilage/muscles. The best procedure would be to ensure that no objects are within flailing (if that is what is occurring) distance that they could strike. If the person is known to have seizures than some time is allotted (I can't remember exactly but three to five minutes comes to mind) to see if they come out of it. If the person's history is unknown than a more immediate call to 911 is called for to ensure their safety.

They were not signing. Their lips were moving.

If they stopped they would have been busted.

haha wtf?! why didn't the dancers stop and help!? haha that's so fvcked up! i can't believe that, man!

they see the girl on the ground seizing... why didn't they pull her offstage??

i wonder if it's a common thing for her to seize like that and that's why the girls didn't stop to help... they figured she'd be alright or something cuz it always happens.... but, then again, why have her in the group if she constantly seizes?

Oh, I get it. It's just a cultural thing. Here, our singers and dancers imitate prostitutes. There, one dancer fakes a seizure. It's just tradition.

Really though, they(adults) ran to her aid in 30 seconds. With all the stories of first hand accounts of not knowing what to do(which I can totally understand) I think that 30 seconds is a very good response time to something like that. Regardless of whether they were lip synching or not(i bet they were) the performers are probably trained to keep going no matter what, like if one falls down you wouldn't expect them to stop the entire thing, and basically thats what happened. In the 10 or 20 seconds it would have taken to realize that it wasnt just a trip and fall, people were already coming to her aid.

Actually if you look at the HQ version, you can see that one of the girls does run to help her. I bet the others thought she just fell and weren't sure what was going on. There's also delay time resulting from shock or not knowing what is going on. The girls in front don't look like they know that anything is going on at all.

actually..the one singer..in the grey outfit walked right by her..glanced down...continued singing/dancing...looked BACK DOWN again..and walked away.

that's fvcked up!!! poor girl..even after the guy went to her rescue they were just removing her from the stage in a hurry...just so it wouldn't "interfere" with the performance. HORRIBLE!

Really f*cked up and it pisses me off.

I do see the sick humor in it though.

But it does bother me that no one did anything; who gives a crap about your lip singing performance, help the damn girl out.

Ok, all the heroes/paramedics/ER doctors here screaming about how it took them <30 seconds to do something, I'd like to ask you if you've ever been in that position. If you're not expecting it (don't know the person, for example), and you don't know what the fsck is going on, it can easily take 20-30 seconds to react. Of course, later, after the fact, you kick yourself and go "why did I freeze up?" but it's easy. You didnt' know WTF was happening.

I don't know the whole story-it just seems to me like people in this thread are a tad presumptuous.

WTF would you have done then? Picked her up? Looks like to me it was handled pretty well.
