Stupid question but, did you clean off the old Thermal Interface Material and apply a very thin layer of new before you booted up the comp? Also YOU MUST DISCONNECT ALL CABLES INSIDE THE CASE BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING!!!!!! You probably shorted out your mobo because you didn't unplug any of the power cables.

You've got something behind the motherboard that is shorting it out. You need to pull the board and remove it. I'd give you a near 100% guarantee that all will be fine afterwards.

yea i tried that boom... didn't work :( ... and yea about disconnecting all cables... it just seems very impractical to me and are you saying everytime yo plug in a new hdd for example you must unplug all the other ones?.... it just seems like a neverending loop to me... :)

boomerang...

I meant all power cables, not all cables in general. (ide, sata, etc are all fine).

I pull the power plug out of the PS, wait for any lights on the board to wink out and have at it. Been doing it like that for nearly a decade.

In your BIOS, if you go to Integrated Peripherals and then IDE Function Setup, are both Serial - ATA 1 and Serial - ATA 2 set to Enabled?

3 SATA drives. Are you running RAID?

I'm not running raid... on my mobo for some reason, that setting is not under integrated peripherals... it's under something Genie setting or something but yes 1 through 4 are enabled...

Well I downloaded the manual for your board, but I was a little uncertain of exactly which model you have.

I'm out of answers. I hate to say it, but I think the board is fried.

Edit: For spelling errors. Aarrgghh!

Things to do:

a) Test your hard drives in another computer

b) Reassemble your computer, or perhaps just try a single drive
