the Dems need to shape up and learn this thing called straight talk.

what a pussy response this is by Jeffries. Say it straight up - the Republican speaker has prevented this from happening because they do not care about those officers as they were trying to prevent the Trump party from overthrowing democracy, something that Johnson's party clearly supported, overthrowing our democracy. They have supported the insurrectionists and have constantly tried to block repercussions for the insurrectionists. They lack dignity.

People like to throw around the word evil. Hasn't America become evil. Aren't American cultural values contaminating the world. Isn't capitalism a major contributor to mental illness world wide. Isn't corporate mentality leading to environmental catastrophe? Isn't it time for America to disappear off the world stage? Isn't America's greatest product imbecility? Without heart Western Culture is a disease. Every disease drives a need for a cure. The contemptuous deserve contempt, they say.

But then, who has the time much less the capacity to care. Of what value is a beacon of light in a world where everybody has their own GPS.
This is what frustrates me that everything is trump, trump, trump, while these fundamental problems keep getting worse with no solutions in sight. We //3($ effing keep driving like there is no tomorrow, while the world melts and I guess maybe there might not be a tomorrow. These California fires are going to cause our homeowner’s insurance rates to skyrocket so finally America gets to reap some of what we sow. Of course that is a small problem compared to all the instantly homeless people there are now.

What I think we are experiencing is the inevitable, the Karmic results if you will, the psychological effects that flow from, the madness that results when the conditions created by the level of self understanding we possess reach the point where our capacity to address the negatives created by that level of awareness. or in my opinion lack of awareness, fall behind our capacity to face them and fix them head on. The awareness that the rubber is hitting the road, has been hitting the road for a long time is growing. As Jimmy Carter was vilified for saying, ‘there is a malaise spreading over the land’: all over the world a frustration is building, a feeling of doom that the more entitled we have been conditioned to assume we deserve to live our lives problem free, to slumber peacefully in blissful ignorance, the closer to the surface the rage we feel toward the conditions we live in but lack the wisdom to fix becomes.

I remember visiting a medical research lab in San Francisco on a field trip from high school which I wandered away from to explore on and I entered a room all alone. The moment I stepped into that room a thousand monkeys hit the doors of their cages with screams of fear and rage. I could not help feeling they were doing the only thing they could do to tell me about their pain, the madness they experienced in those cages and the hatred they felt toward humans.

But imagine living in a cage with invisible bars, invisible because they were made out of an steel we believe is sacred and deserves our undying respect, a cage all our conditioning was there to help us decorate rather than tear down. And along comes some asshole and open a door to that room and says my God look at all these cages.

It's Western culture's turn at inventing a Ghost Dance.

It's just the constant social media buzz of everything always sucks all the time. Incumbency is going to be a boat anchor for a while.
A very valid point, although there were valid issues for the Dems to address. The Reps are much more effective at driving this bias home effectively though, mainly due to the right wing media and social media. I mean how are people not collectively outraged that the richest man in the world bought Twitter, turned it into a right wing s..t show, and bought a powerful position in the govt at the same time. And worse yet, the person who convinced them he was for the little guy and working class is filling his cabinet with billionaires and sycophants.

Lets hope this anti incumbency bias holds true in 2028 as well, but as I said, the Dems dont seem to be able to capitalize on it.
