Same here bro, I hope he makes a triumphant return here one day :)

lol, if there were one person to be unbanned, it should be ATOT's favorite whipping boy. :D

Deep down inside we all know that if he's unbanned it's only a matter of time before he gets banned again or worse perma ban :(

Oh well, enough drama for me time for dinner.

anyway, thats not how to pack a hdd. no offense meant to either party but:

sox: if you dont know how to package properly, either ask someone who does or dont trade. you are LUCKY it still works. it could just have easily not.
cchen: going straight to the boards was a bad idea. pm or email to try for a resolution.

just curious, but was this posted in FSFT? i would bet that 99% of established traders (most of whom do not lurk in OT) would agree that you both screwed up. sox for bad packaging, and cchen for starting the mudslinging.

and sox, why no heatware? what do you have against it? i know its not perfect, but its the best online traders have.

i saw the pics,of the "envelopes"

they were padded packing envelopes, made to cushion stuff...
They were very thick padded envelopes doubled up to the point of the drive not moving. The drive itself was inside one which was doubled up inside of another. The drive didn't move when the box was shaked.

Actually they weren't. They were not very thick, they were not much thicker than normal envelopes. You only put two of them in there, and the drive was easily being thrown in the box.

If wanna continue calling names, that's fine. I know, and the other trades here know that you don't know how to pack something as sensitive as a hard drive, and won't take any responsibility for it. That's the end of my discussion.
Each envelope weighs over 1/4 pound, would you like a picture of one on a scale for posterity?

Ironically my bet is would have fared worse with peanuts. Regardless, I felt the padding worked better. It arrived in working order despite UPS's monkeywork. In my opinion my padding was superior because of it.

This is the same as the envelopes used as padding for his package.

Well this is the first time I've seen pics of an envelope on a scale

Hope no one asks me on Monday what I did on my Friday night :(

This really isn't such a big deal. Delays in shipping happen all the time and UPS isn't known for being the gentlest of handlers for packages. A public post like this is most definately unwarranted, as was the original post.

Don't worry about the damage to your image; it'll be forgotten in a week...provided this thread comes to a quick halt.
