Officials: Search Is Over for Iraq WMD...

So which is the real reason we went? 😕

oh you pick... the front runners are
1) saddam bad
2) saddam <3s bin laden
3) it's for our own security
4) axis of eeevil... EVIL! EEEVIL!! Sorta like #1 actually, except it's more of an american-friendly blanket statement. Sorta like the presidential elections are narrowed down to blue or red. You know you don't want people thinking too much

Chief U.S. weapons hunter Charles Duelfer (search) is to deliver his final report on the search next month. "It's not going to fundamentally alter the findings of his earlier report," McClellan said, referring to preliminary findings from last September. Duelfer reported then that Saddam Hussein not only had no weapons of mass destruction and had not made any since 1991, but that he had no capability of making any either. Bush unapologetically defended his decision to invade Iraq.
And yet, months and even years from now, certain posters here will continue to insist that Sadaam had WMD.

re-re-post.

Perknose is right on the dot. As I said in the other thread, the WMDs exist, in the imagination of neocons and zealots across our great land (but mostly in the middle of it).

There is an obvious explanation for this that we are overlooking. Hopefully, certain PNer's in here will fill us all in on what *really* happened.

WTF? i thought certain people would be all over this... guess they must be busy finding right-wing spin articles to hyperlink.
suppose i should come back after the 24 hour news cycle.

no it hasn't, nor will it. You should read more threads in here....depressing really.

This should be a sticky, I don't care if this gets reposted every hour on the hour....

I second that. This is actually bigger news than it seems. The neocons have been spouting off garbage about WMDs for years and now they finally have to face the music.

Let's get our favorite WMD apologists in here and finish it.

How does this...
"After a war that has consumed nearly two years and millions of dollars, and a war that has cost thousands of lives, no weapons of mass destruction have been found, nor has any evidence been uncovered that such weapons were moved to another country," Pelosi said in a written statement. "Not only was there not an imminent threat to the United States, the threat described in such alarmist tones by President Bush and the most senior members of his administration did not exist at all."
go along with this...
"Nothing's changed in terms of his views when it comes to Iraq, what he has previously stated and what you have previously heard," McClellan said. "The president knows that by advancing freedom in a dangerous region we are making the world a safer place."

Not even a "Sorry, I fvcked up."

I think that's what it comes down to

"You made a fool a mah daddy and ahm gonna make you pay!"

(and like everything else, he still thinks this is a big joke)

wow, a whole day gone by and not a single neocon response... let me try.

just because we didn't find them doesn't mean they don't exist. They're probably buried in the sand somewhere. now we just need to find Saddam's Ye Olde Treasure map, YAAARRRGH!

they probably moved them out of the country... we now have coerced... ahem i mean conclusive CIA reports that the WMD's are in Syria. REady up the humvees, and infiltrate the H.S. job fairs boys, it's time to invade again!

And even if we don't find them.. so what?! it was about human rights all along. which is why we never supported his oppressive regime... wait, whats that? we did?... i mean that's why we no longer support his oppressive regime.

And, of course, I can see the upcoming reasoning to invade Syria or Iran to look for the WMDs.

Pretty soon the Middle East will be America 2.0

My bet is on Syria. I can just feel that pre-war wibe. They're gluing together their case for a Syria invasion.

There's no need to invade Iran, the CIA has been working it from the inside-out since at least the 80s. Also, the Iranian people are sick of their own leaders. Won't be long until they remove their sorry asses themselves.
