****OFFICIAL YANKEES THREAD 2008****

Nice!!! Was just looking to see if there was an official thread for the year.

Great game tonight. Wang pitched good, and Melky had a hell of a game.

They are in pain in Mets-town right now; Pedro left with hamstring issues.

Yeah, Melky played well, so did Giambi.
You could tell Girardi was thrilled to have his first win.

Yep; Giambi looks good and fit this year; hopefully he can stay healthy.

Yeah; well it relfected in the seat prices this year. I gave up my season tix this year due to a 40% increase. I swear they are going to price the average joe out of the park.

40% that's insane. I wonder what the prices will be like in the new ball park.

Just wait for the new stadium. It'll be like getting Giants tickets.

40% increase in season tixx? Damn didnt know it was that much.

We just signed a lease on an apartment in Englewood, about 15 minutes from Yankee stadium across the GWB. Was looking forward to catching ALOT more games this year, but I cant find any on ticketmaster, looks like they all sold out.

I dread looking on StubHub. Might just buy from scalpers on gameday, which can be hit or miss.

Great game tonight. Giambi looked very nimble both in the field and on the bases (I can't believe I'm saying that), Melky played a solid game, and Alex was Alex.

Wang looked a heck of a lot better than he did in spring training. I had worried that he had let his performances from October get into his head over the course of the winter.

Only if you listen to the NESN/ESPN propaganda.

NESN likes to brag about how loud the Sox fans are when the team is on the road, but last night it was apparent that they were turning the crowd microphones way up after the Red Sox did something positive (the PA announcer was about 10x louder than it normally is during TV telecasts).

RSN is a bunch of crap.

To me, they Yankees have a very unimpressive team this year. They are probably at best the 4th best team in the AL. They have some very serious pitching issues and they no longer have the swagger they had in the 90's.

How easy is it to get tickets to a Yankees game? I'll be in NYC in May and was thinking of going to a game, but just assumed they would be sold out all of the time.
