Average his close and late stats from last year, and the year of "THE CHOKE", and you might educate yourself vice stating something as stupid as the past 3 months worth of baseball stats. ARod is a cheater and choker historically, which means that nothing will change this year. Aside from the fact he will bring you up with good regular season stats and then choke when it counts again.

If A-Rod had as many HR's in a season that either won or tied the game like Ortiz last year, he would be redeemed. That will never happen. Papi's balls are 10 times the size of Rodriguez's, figuratively speaking.

Why don't you look at how often the Red Sox throw at Yankees players? Matsui in the '04 ALCS? What about when Pedro sent Soriano and Jeter both to the hospital in the FIRST INNING of a game in 2003? The Yankees are the biggest stand up team in sports, espcially in baseball. Don't even try to say that the Red Sox act in a more distingushed manner.

Right now Boston is a much classier team than NY, there's nobody on the roster who you can say acts like the losers on NY that I just mentioned above. 3 of my best friends are diehard Yankee fans, and they all despise ARod and Unit, and are lukewarm on Giambi/Sheff/Posada. They all agree that Jeter and Matsui play the game right and they are their favorite players on NY.

Are you a freaking moron? Of course players get thrown out after warnings are given, but they aren't given 5 game suspensions for no reason. The MLB knew Unit and co threw at someone w/out reason. Come back when you learn how to read and up your debating skills vice spouting things a toddler can understand. Sometimes I wish Jeter would pimpslap some respect into this group of underachieving losers (A-Rod, Giambi, Posada, Unit) and show them the right way to play baseball: You get hit by a pitch, you suck it up and take your base, you don't cry like a primadonna because you are a "Yankee" and "Nobody hits a Yankee, intentional or not, and we're gonna retaliate b/c we're babies". We can only hope that Jeter one day is traded to Boston for David Wells (another cancer crybaby), $$, and draft picks.

LOL! You are clueless. The Yankees have been hit many more times than any other team in the league this year because their pitchers don't do anything to protect their hitters. Giambi and Jeter have both missed significant time because they are free game up their at the plate. The only two pitchers on the team who I could see retaliating are Unit and Farnsworth, and finally one of them did so.

Why don't you look at how often the Red Sox throw at Yankees players? Matsui in the '04 ALCS? What about when Pedro sent Soriano and Jeter both to the hospital in the FIRST INNING of a game in 2003? The Yankees are the biggest stand up team in sports, espcially in baseball. Don't even try to say that the Red Sox act in a more distingushed manner.

Why do you think Unit was suspended for 5 games, just for his health? No, MLB doesn't suspend pitchers when they are actually protecting their players in retaliation for being intentionally thrown at. When pitchers throw at someone unprovoked (mainly b/c Posada is the biggest crybaby this side of Mars and God forbid unintentionally hitting him is a straight up crime), they are suspended. If you ask me, Posada should have been suspended for at least a game instead of Torre because he/Unit are the morons that called for the beaning.

Look at what Perez (who was thrown at) said: "I've faced Randy Johnson. Let's put it this way: If he's going to hit you, he's going to hit you," Perez said. "Maybe in the back of his mind he knew something. How are you going to intentionally hit Jorge with no one out and first base occupied [in a 3-1 game]? Those guys are veterans over there. They know how to play the game. I was a little surprised right there."

You obviously are a homer and didn't watch the game. The Yankees are the epitome of low class as long as players like Unit, Posada, ARod, Sheffield, and Giambi are on that team. Jeter and Matsui are the only thing that brings class to that team, don't kid yourself.

I like the O's (3rd fav team behind Philly) but Boston is has been my team for over 2 decades. More assumptions from another Yankee fanboy. Pedro was a classless prick (albeit a helluva pitcher) and I'm glad he's gone, especially the sht he talked about Schilling on his way out.

Right now Boston is a much classier team than NY, there's nobody on the roster who you can say acts like the losers on NY that I just mentioned above. 3 of my best friends are diehard Yankee fans, and they all despise ARod and Unit, and are lukewarm on Giambi/Sheff/Posada. They all agree that Jeter and Matsui play the game right and they are their favorite players on NY.

The post is good for a laugh. Boston beans other players all the time...

And they aren't given 5 game suspension afterwards, even if they are thrown out of the game after warnings are given. Refer to my response to your Yankee friend above for more insight.

Um, what does that prove? That the Red Sox don't retaliate? Beaning people in retaliation isn't worse than beaning other players for no reason or intimidation purposes, IMO.
