Well, at least this time around, the games are alot more important for the BoSox than the Yankees. They are 6 games back in the lost column. I think they need to sweep.

No kidding. The Yankee hitting machine is now rolling, they were impotent last time. Sox have Nomar and Trot back in the lineup. Yankee starting rotation needs improvement, they will be pitching a rookie in his 3rd major league start against Pedro.

As far as tonights game goes...
Hideki Matsui owns Lowe, batting .563 (9-for-16) with one homer. ... Lowe should also be careful when pitching to Sheffield, who hits .500 (5-for-10) against him with one homer. ... Despite batting just .281 (9-for-32) against Lowe, Jason Giambi has taken the righty deep three times. ... The Sux, ahem, the Sox should win two out of three, they have the pitching advantage (Wakefield vs Lieber, Pedro vs Halsey). The Red Sox really need to sweep here, they?ve been playing .500 ball for a while now.

I just saw the weak weak weak hitting Mets beat up on Halsey. The Sox can hit. And Lieber has really been stinking it up lately.

BTW, did you really need to have your GF gone? Get her to watch the game, too!
 
I'll root for the Yanks only because the Sux fans here are such Knob Gobblers. To see them suffer would do my heart good!
 
What a great game 😀 Gotta keep in mind though, the sox are still up 6-2 for the season. Yankees really need to do something concerning starting pitching 🙁
