Before I get my hopes up, I'm going to wait and see if there's a locked bootloader or other difficult anti-community measures on it. There's a slight leg when there's cellular data involved, but zero when its wifi only.

Lot of potential for custom builds and development with tablets.

I'll wait for a 7" version. Or... the Atrix, which IMO makes both tablets and netbooks obsolete.

That web dock looks very interesting to me, hope to see more web docks for other high end phones. Definitely renders the netbook/low end laptop obsolete. Not sure if it negates the tablet though.

I quite like this Xoom and looking forward to the reviews. Good enough and I might even be tempted to get myself one.

Atrix is useless unless someone other than ATT gets it IMHO

AT&T must be shitting bricks if they are monopolizing the best Android phones this year. iPhone 4 on Verizon is going to destroy a good chunk of their business.

I don't think Verizon's data limits are any better, but I am going to feel good when no one buys an Atrix. I bet AT&T put a crapload of money to get exclusive rights to it and not very many people will buy it.

Let's face it - only true Android nerds will get a hard-on for the Atrix, and they are too smart to go to AT&T. The sheeple have heard about how bad AT&T is and will flock to Verizon, thinking that they are better.

AT&T is doomed.

And while I am here - Sprint better have something up their sleeves for that phone show in March (I forget the name.) It doesn't help that all of the CES threads in the Sprint Official Forums have been deleted also. They pissed me off. I am waiting to get rid of my damn HTC Hero for something better, and there looks to be nothing in the Horizon.

Once I get a new iPhone from work, I'll be dropping Sprint completely and just enjoy my extra $100 a month.

This should be available Q1 2011, and I'm gonna call it THE TABLET of 2011.

Honeycomb, dual core Tegra, larger, yet lighter than the iPad, dual cameras, expandable memory...

Welcome to the future of tablets.

The WiFi version will drop a month prior to the version with cellular data.

I'm hoping the WiFi version has a GPS chip...

I think it's a bit premature to call it the best tablet of the year. Asus in particular has a very promising lineup of Honeycomb tablets that includes several interesting designs with specs that are as good or better than the Xoom. Plus there is always the Blackberry Playbook that also looks like a very promising system.
