Mine finally crapped the bed tonite.

Locked up playing PDZ. I reset it and it came to E74 message.

I shut if off for a couple hours and unplugged everything. Turned it on, same message.

Shut it off again, removed everything but the power cable, and same thing.


Ug, I should know better then to buy the first batch of hardware^^ oh well was fun while it lasted.

Did you try removing the hard drive, and then check if it will boot?

heheh dudes 360 fell on its side (was on the floor, didnt get knocked, simply fell over from the vertical position and landed on its side) and now its dead lol.

luckily MS are being a bit brilliant, sending him a overnight box so he can ship to them to fix.

xbox 360 really does seem fussy, its overheating for some people depending how they place it. the PS2 was proper sturdy....my mates fell from about 4ft with the dvd tray out onto a laminate floor. snapped the tray cover off but it still works perfectly

Just got done with customer service, got everythng taken care of in 18 mins which wasnt too bad.

They are overighting me a box and said the turn around is about a week including shipping to and from Texas.


Oh well, least they are fixing it.

Good for you and good for MS (can't believe I'm saying that 😛) Wish the same could be said for Sony considering how poorly they handled the problems with the initial releases of PS2 and PSP.

Only thing I don't like is that it's only warrantied till March 06. With the problems they are having now they should extend that to at least a year.

If this one dies again after march I'm gonna make a special trip to Texas and put my foot in someone's ass.

Gears of War and Oblivion come to mind. Look for these early next year.

I just wanted to post an auction that I found extremely ignorant. Apparently, some people out there have too much money (yes, I'm jealous). Paying almost as much for a faceplate cover as the core console itself?

Agreed, definitely a sweet looking faceplate. However, I can't see MS making this thing exclusive for too long, it just looks too good. Once I get my X360, I'm looking at the blue faceplate with the pinstripe design or the wood grain with the racing stripe down the center 🙂.

they might not be appealing, but damned if they arent fun.

Condemned scares the crap out of you, PGR3 is just a dream to play and PDZ is a good shooter.

Worth $60, no freakin way. But it will be better once they hack it. $60 a game just insures that it happens faster.

MS makes some silver ones... I've seen them at the local Target, EB Games, etc. Seems to me that Silver is the most available one.

They probably think you're an idiot because they have XX times the disposable income that you do, and they don't need to worry about spending an extra hundred or two here or there.

Maybe having an XBOX 360 right now and enjoying it is worth more than waiting a month or two, or calling and driving around to 20 different stores to grab one at MSRP.

I don't see why people rag on others who simply want to game. Not everyone in the world is a bargain hunter, nor do they have to be one.
