I hated it too. I was very excited for it. Even looking past the framerate and graphics and stuff, I still hate it. It was stupid and boring to me. I'll just use my money for fight night.

My problem wasn't the graphics and framerate so much as the gameplay. I was thinking it would be more like a battle than a race. The unwreck feature is a little lame too...think it makes the game too easy. The weapons are ineffective and if you get destroyed you spawn immediately. I will have to dload fightnight and see how that is though...

So, it's not so much that the game "sucks"... More like it's just not what you expected (for whatever reason.)

The demo is indicative of exactly what I expected the game to be, and I'll be picking it up on release day for sure. 🙂
 
Incase you hadn't heard, there is a glitch on COD2 where you can actually create your own game! So it's for the better!

you can create your own game, pick the level, kill count, and time limit, and EVEN have 16 people in it!

Here is the forum post explaining how to do it.

I personally haven't tried it yet but thats how you do it, and I have many friends who confirmed it as well. Enjoy!

EDIT: just watched the video. The video actually teaches you how to do it as well. I'm gonna try it out tonight.
 
I finished Cod2 on veteran as well, and I agree with you, D-day was tough. Clearing out the 5 buildings took me forever. But I'm glad I did it, it was an amazing experience!

I'm back to working on Kameo now, I have all the elementals and am working my way into Thorn's castle.

yah man ... D-Day = hardest mission. And it was 6 buildings, not 5 😛

it was funny cause hill 400 and the Crossing Rhine took me probably 1/4 the time to finish both of those together as it did to finish D-Day.

Yea, had some chip issues and wasn't able to get enough 360s to street.

We did have some component shortage issues for Xbox 360 that we believe are behind us

The company's previous target of selling 3 million consoles in the first 90 days from launch has now been lowered to 2.5 million as a direct result of the component shortages. Microsoft remains confident that a solution to the supply problem can be found, and still expects to sell 4.5 to 5.5 million by June as manufacturing and retail supply continues around the clock.

Still expects to hit the 4.5 to 5.5 mill mark by June and I imagine they will especially with the new manufacturer coming online next month.

Bought 4 xbox360's on Friday. Setup one for myself (3 for ebay 😛) and dam it is sweet. I was out over the weekend and when I got back I get an invite from my friend. We hook up and we play PGR3 for 8 or so races. Very fun and we had headsets in a private chat. Very cool. Very slick service by MS :thumbsup:

PS3 is going to TANK if it can't do the same. The controllers doesn't look like they will have the headset come out of it. A very neat idea imo. Wireless controllers are great. Dropped it a few timesa s I thought the dam cord would be there 😛

I knew Live was great as I had played it a few times around my mates place. It is certainly well put together. I just want GT5 dam it!

Yea thats the same word I heard ... I just hope the COD2 patch completely changes the xbox live thing and lets you setup lobbies (private or public) as well as some type of automatch like it has now.

I've read the reviews, but hoping to get some opinions before I go out and buy the game.

One game I loved on my PS2 was Gran Turismo 3. I loved the 'career' mode, buying new cars, upgrading old cars, I loved how I needed certain cars to race certain events.

I never got Project Gotham Racing for my XBox.

Is PGR3 for the XBox 360 a similar game to GT3? I read that career mode was not very long - that's fine, I don't need anything as long as GT3s career mode.

But, are the concepts the same? Needing, say, a domestic muscle care for certain tracks, but a RWD import for others?

i don't think do. PGR3 is an arcade racer, where the GT series is a Simulation.

There's Forza Motorsport which is an Xbox game. I believe it is backwards compatible with the 360 though. I don't know when a Forza 2 will come out for the 360.
 
Whew...been on vacation since last Saturday. Amazingly, no 360 withdrawals though I was pissed to come home last night and find my internet down. Amazing how I had no desire to play any games with no internet....
