No, you have to use an "official" 360 memory card for game saves.Originally posted by: Tom
About the memory card..I take it the USB ports won't work with a standard USB card reader, like one that uses SD cards ?
You can get the Premium now for between $300-$350 through deals at Dell or Overstock.com. I imagine it would be another year at least before you see the Premium version at $200 (after retailer discounts). The issue about Core vs Premium for me is, I can get a Core for $199. If there are ever really good 360 games, that is a price I'm willing to pay, if the Core isn't so crippled that it can't play those hypothetical games.
That is what my questions are about, whether a Core is worth it, not whether I should spend another $100 for a Premium. Because I won't spend $100 for a 20g hard drive and a wireless controller that ought to cost $20.
If a Core is useless, I'll forget about the 360 until the Premium costs $200.
Even if you get the Core, you'll still have to spend another $20-$40 (depending on how you get it) for a 64meg memory card. You could probably get the HDD for $60-$100 if you hunt for deals.
