Can we load/transfer HD movies/tv/clips/whatever onto the hard drive to watch on our HD tvs?

You can stream stuff from a Windows Media Center PC, but I don't know if you can store movies or anything like that. Music you could, and maybe pictures.

Thats how I understand it. You can also play mp3's and movies from DVD's.

So without the Media Center PC, you can't?

I'm trying to set up windows media connect (for music and pictures) and can't seem to get it going.

I hope there's a 3rd party program to let us stream video to it too (Why couldn't a program just make the 360 think we are using a media PC?)

I'm not saying you can't, I'm just saying everything I've seen talks about streaming from a Media Center PC. With only 20GB, I doubt theres much you could put on there and still have room for game info and the OS/various crap.

Sell it and profit, they are on sale for like $3000, offer to pay next day shipping or something for half price or free.

All the ones that are > ~$1,500 are being bid on by people with 0 feedback after being shill bidded to hell.

for that amount of money, i would say... "0 feedback members must contact me in advance before bidding."

Exactly what my auction says...

Heck I never even saw it. I checked the day it was posted and never found those bundles.

you can create a demand for your product by limiting supply. People will pay more for the the ones in supply. Your demand will go up because there is a limited supply. DUH!

I was too. There was a window of maybe 30 minutes that I didn't have the page refreshing, and I looked at a thread here and saw someone say Dell had them and went and looked and saw two bundles (one a core and the other the premium). I tried to order but when I got the last step and hit confirm order it then threw up an error saying my cart was empty.

I then went to fatwallet since I saw another thread saying thats where it came from (I think it was posted in this thread actually). The way they talked is it had been up for a long time, but there's no way I could have missed it before then.

So you are saying that you can make people buy a product they have no use for, or want, by simply saying its in low demand.

Whatever.

Well, in this case, Microsoft knew that people would have use for it and want it so they created a demand for it by limiting supplies.

They weren't even up on the site when a bunch of us had ordered. Around the time I posted (11AM EST), we all had called up cause someone had seen it in a catalogue.

Wait, so they know that people want it, so they limit their supplies. Thus limiting overall revenue. This isn't going to sell to people who don't want it. The people who are going to buy it....are going to buy it. Limiting your supply really does nothing but hurt the end user and your bottom line.

Honestly, no one has any reports like this. It's just people trying to trash on MS because it's MS.

Think about it this way. People who do get their hands on one are going to talk about it since it's the hot new game system this year. People who are curious about it or are thinking about it are going to hear the buzz and that's going to peak their interest in the system. Now these people are going to the store and see that the system is sold out and seeing that is going to reinforce the fact that it is a hot item and they're going to want it more and more as they keep looking for it.

Think about it this way. The more people who have the system, the more people you have talking about it. Word of mouth can really only travel as far as people actually using the system. Everyone knows its a supply shortage. Just because they only got a few number of units doesn't equate to being good. For something to be good, word of mouth is the best thing.

Again, it's tinfoil hat people that think everything is a conspiracy.

Rule of economics...supply and demand. I think you guys make a good point and to me, I think it's a mixture of been maximizing their profit but not have "TOO" many on hand where there is enough for everybody but instead release a dose...enough to keep constant or increasing interest.

Not exaclty. Supply and demand and price all work together. And you are seeing that effect here.

So if demand is high set supply low = high price. I mean the whole thing is basic economics. And it would be in MS best interest to limit supply to create more demand.

That makes no sense. MS does not see any higher price? They charge a set price to the retail/online stores. It's EBAY people who see the higher profits. It wouldn't be in their best interest to have huge sales spikes when they see no revenue increase. Essentially what they do is limit their own incoming revenue. Do they want a huge 4Q to finish out the year...or do they want to spread it out over the 4/1Q.

The price is all the same from MS stand point.

So my dad called me last night and asked about the 360. I of course told him it was the ****** and he was like "ok by". Wonder what I am getting for christmas.
