Still the bungie.net Halo 3 Beta forum. There is another post where someone says if the download isn't up by the time EBGames opens, he's going to cancel his preorder. The subsequent replies are calling shens.

Take your time, this beta isn't coming any time soon doesn't look like. I've never seen a Crackdown copy on a store shelf without the Halo 3 beta, so you shouldn't have a problem.

This is kind of ridiculous on Bungie's part, though. Crackdown has been out for 3 months now, and they couldn't get the download button to work right? Surely this was tested, but who knows. They know the Halo fans are a rabid bunch, and they'll have anarchy on their hands if the Crackdown download isn't working within a few hours.

I'm glad I didn't wait around any longer at home. I woke up so I could be ready to DL at 8am EST and I usually leave for work around 8:30. But I ended up staying at my place until 8:45 in hopes of the download link on Crackdown becoming available but it still hadn't.

Glad I didn't wait any longer because it looks like it's still not working and I'm at work now.

Oh well, I'm sure its going to take a WHILE to download it later tonight

I downloaded the RedvsBlue Halo 3 beta video they put on the Marketplace yesterday, and that's the hardest I've laughed at one of those in a while. The return of "tea bagging" in Halo 3 was the funniest part of the video.

Ended up getting a copy at a different one Might just have to leave the XBox on all night to download it. I guess I'm lucky I'm seeing Tool tonight, I'd be dying if I was home but couldn't play it.

$10 shipping? LOL.....that's like the wireless carriers charging so much for text messaging .

I'm leaving for work in about 20 minutes, so it doesn't look like I'll get to start downloading it. I'm holding out hope that the download will come up at some point tonight, at which point I can call the wife and get her to start it for me if it's not too close to going home time. Then I have to go in to work early tomorrow (10am instead of 3pm), so I won't get any decent time with it until this weekend anyway, depending on when I can get the download finished.

I want to play me some Halo 3 dammit!

I fired up the demo initially...wasn't very impressed with the graphics and cut off the 360 in dismay. Went back to it a day or two later just to run a few races and got hooked. Sure the graphics are not the best (well they are fine except for the jaggies), but the gameplay is fantastic. Now I'm really excited about the game and it is certainly a must-buy for me.
