I'm liking the look and feel of GRAW 2 so far.

Anyhow, anyone seen some of the ads on the MP this morning? Microsoft is really expanding their advertising base. "Free content, spray more get more the Axe Effect (video)."

I saw that last night... I kind of think that's BS because we are PAYING for XBL. If it was free, then that would be a different story. I think all the ads are fine when it's about game related stuff or new stuff on the marketplace.

but I hope that the GRAW 2 demo is good, I really want it to be a good game.

I got a question for you guys/gals who use the VGA connector. I have a 61in Sammy DLP (non-1080p) do you think the cable will make much of a difference in quality over component? Also I have heard of some users having a grainy effect, is this true? Thinking about upgrading, not sure if it?s worth the 20 or not.

Demo was waaaaaaaaaaaay too short. We killed all of what, 5 guys? That battle at the end was crap too...the teammates, even when told to attack these guys, couldn't shoot worth a damn. CrossCom was completely worthless in the demo...at least make it a whole level where you can demonstrate it's abilities. And for the love of god, you could have put in R6:V's cover system. One more gripe - in the options theres a setting for automatic reload - sure wasn't automatic - I can't remember how many firefights where I kept pulling the trigger on empty, and the little "reload" icon was at the top.

I loved GRAW one but I'm rather iffy on GRAW 2 based on the demo. I will say though - it has some amazing graphics.

GRAW 2 demo was alright. I liked GRAW and I'm sure the sequel will be good. I actually wasn't very impressed with the graphics at all but I think thats more because of the ugly desert/mountain level. I'm sure the city levels will look excellent like the first GRAW. The enhanced drone control is good but I wish you can plan out each team member individually ala the pc GRAW. No big deal.


So the promised Def Jam Icon demo has been postponed..ah well. I couldn't care less about the whole hip hop stuff but I thought the Def Jam series has been really solid (done by AKI who did lots of fun WWE games). I'm a bit tired of military stuff at the moment after playing through Gears of War, Vegas, Call of Duty 3, GRAW and the GRAW 2 demo so Def Jam would have been a decent change of pace.

EA told Gamespot they are delaying it for a worldwide release..boo. Def Jam Icon demo delayed


Tomorrow the demo for NBA Street will be released on the marketplace. Not a basketball fan but hey..its something different. I assume this is the more exaggerated arcade street ball stuff which could be fun in a NBA Jam kinda way.

I loved NBA Jam

GRAW 2 demo is so boring. Barely finished it. The graphics were pretty good, but I just have never liked the feel of GRAW 1, and GRAW 2 feels exactly the same. The cover system sucks, I don't like how it feels when you shoot. I like in R6 how you barely tap the trigger and it shoots. In GRAW, it just doesn't feel "right". The AI is extremely stupid as well. Might as well not even be there. They just die and make beeping noises until I heal them.

Everyone seems down on GRAW 2...I for one like it.

No, it isn't R6:V...but it isn't trying to be. It has a lot of great things in its own right. I love the new integration of the drone...much easier to use and control. I barely used it in the first game...used it regularly in the demo.

The graphics are awesome...especially the way the sand and smoke react with the environment. No more "sheets" of smoke running over 3D objects...looks smooth as ever.

I'll definitely be picking this one up.

I hope it looks as good in multiplayer as it does in the single player..... and it doesn't need to be exactly like R6, but the cover system is HORRIBLE. AFter playing GoW/R6, I'm extremely spoiled by their systems.

I'll probably give it a chance when the final game comes out. The demo was just horribly done. The demo was boring and needs way more action, but I guess they were just trying to show off new features. I did spend a lot of time playing online in the first GRAW.

I hope this game is good as well. I don't care for realistic basketball games, I just like to go out there and have fun.

Anyone remember the game that came out with charles barkley featuring in it? I think it was for the N64... I loved that game
Edit: it was for the SNES.. Barkley Shut UP and Jam. Great game! 2vs2 basketball.

Agreed it wasn't the best demo ever...but it certainly showed the games potential.

The cover systems of R6:V and GoW is great...but I don't require it of every game I play. I loved GRAW 1 online (still play it now and again) and look forward to GRAW 2.

You need windows media connect or wmp11 I believe.
