'Tis true. The second time the Eagles made it to the Superbowl only to lose again... I think every Philly fan cried a little on the inside.

Phillies fans this October are like pit bulls wagging their tails, seemingly rehabilitated until one false move turns them savage.

How else to explain a family member of a Rays? employee holing up in a bathroom stall during Game 3 because Phillies fans were pounding on the door and threatening him? Or a grade-school student getting beer poured on him. Or the seven-year-old granddaughter of Rays manager Joe Maddon being pelted with mustard packets?

That season was awesome, lthough, ittle Allen Iverson and a team full of defense. People don't remember or never knew that they had even BETTER team D with Ratliff who was both a pretty fair shot blocker AND MOBILE, so he was actively helping his forwards and guards on traps and double teams all over the court, than they more famously had with Dikembe clogging up the middle and wagging his finger on blocks.

The damndest thing is that, when Ratliff went down at mid-season, they came out and won five straight games with second and third string centers Todd MacCulloch and Nazr Mohammed before Larry traded for Mutombo.

That was a TEAM!
