Manziel has a stronger arm than Wilson and is actually a decent passer. Have you actually seen him throw?

And, I was merely commenting that every criticism you had of Manziel's ability were even more prominent with Russell Wilson, who has turned out to be incredible. Now, I think Wilson has a lot more maturity, work ethic, and intelligence than Johnny Football, but that can be put in him. Where he is right now (Browns doing pretty good with him on the bench) has likely put him a bit in his place. He didn't win the starting job and Hoyer was leading the team to victory. That alone has likely checked his ego. He is now getting the chance to prove himself and what he does with it will speak volumes of what he can do in the league in the future.

He's fine.

According to ESPN he has two minor fractures in his back; same injury that kept Romo out of a game earlier in the season. Who knows if it's enough to keep him out; it probably wouldn't matter either way.

If Cam is even slightly injured and they don't keep him out (because, let's face it, they are done for the season anyway), he really needs to reevaluate playing for that team. They have constantly designed the gameplay around him being an RB and continued to allow him to play in a manner that keeps him dinged up. This type of crap is going to significantly impact his longevity in the league.

Since you aren't stuck in TX like I am, in terms of A&M fanbase as well as seeing the previous products of their coach, Sumlin - who all looked GREAT in college, you know, Kolb and Keenum. Be wary of Manziel - he only got his recognition because of the SEC and could easily be a product of Sumlin's system.

I agree he could end up being terrible, but we can only wait and see. I was simply comparing what he said and how it was exactly what was said about Wilson (who was viewed as even worse of a passer) and he turned out to be pretty damn good.

The Browns are already all in on Manziel, even if they got him at a cheaper cost than they should have (22nd pick). Hoyer is, at best, a back up and the Browns know this. Giving Manziel the chance now, with their season pretty much done, can only be good in developing Manziel for next season.

Hoyer would be a pretty serviceable starting QB for a team, as he's proven for the Browns. They have an abysmal run game, and to be honest, their offensive playcalling is atrocious. I could see the Redkins going after him or the Jets - though depending how the Titans are on Mettenberger, they could go for him as well.

ranking by the division system $u(k$.

instead of playing teams in your division 2 times, it should be only once, and play those 3 extra games against teams that finished at same level in the other conference.

so, it will be:

3 against your division
4 against 1 division in your conference
4 against 1 division in other conference
5 against teams in both conferences that finished at same position as last year

then, simply go by overall record.

Aren't they something like a half-game out of the division lead?

They are far from done. Heck, even Tampa Bay isn't mathematically eliminated from winning the division.

That's just how bad it is.

Technically, no, they aren't, but if they split games with Atlanta (and they've already lost one) and win the next two, ATL only has to win one and they will have a better division record. ATL is already 4-0 in division.

The chances of them winning are slim, agreed. But ATL has games against the Steelers and Saints...I can see them losing both those games, including the Carolina one.

Perhaps Derek Anderson would give them a better chance to win than Cam at this point. He's been terrible all year, and with the back, I'm not sure if he'd be able to run.

Romo couldn't avoid sacks when his back was injured, and Cam relies more on his mobility. Doesn't look good.

Cam should be sitting. He is, in part due to the awful playcalling, being dinged up. His mobility should be used as a tool to escape, not the go to offensive weapon. I forgot they have that tie though. If ATL can play like they did against GB, they should beat the Saints and the Panthers IMO. The Steelers though? Bell is going to destroy them.

The Saints just dropped the hammer on some folks. Joe Morgan was cut for attitude problems and Kenny Viccarro was benched. Also apparently several players were called in for a talking to.

I guess whatever issues Brees was talking about are being handled, which is a good sign.

I believe St. Louis will upset Arizona, Cleveland will upset Cincinnati, and San Diego will upset Denver.

^It wouldn't have been an upset, St. Louis was favored nearly across the board going into the game.

Anyways, if Stanton is done for the year, I feel like we are pretty much DoA for the playoffs unless Lindley manages to showcase something he has never once summoned prior to now. But under Arians, who knows.

Did somebody put a hex on my team or something? Unreal.

I'm sure the "Cardinals called Brett Favre's agent" rumors will be appearing soon. 😀

Tough break for sure - I've been pulling for the Cards all year and this turn of events really sucks.

St. Louis. I feel bad for them. Great defense. Zero offense.

Arizona. Great defense. No QB. They may get a high seed, even a bye, but it might be One-and-Done in the playoffs for them.

Philadelphia vs Cowboys. This really may be for the division. Eagles win, and they only need one more win to clinch the division. Cowboys win this game, they have a chance to win the division. Cowboys would still need to win the rest of their games but at least it's a chance.

Eric Decker. Someone test this man for drugs. He still thinks the Jets are a good team.

So who has a better chance of winning a playoff game, Cardinals or the NFC South "champion?" 😛😀

As bad as Atlanta and Now Orleans look at times, there is always the thought that they will wake up and blow someone out. In fact I think Falcons will beat the Steelers this week. Not to mention that the NFC South champ will host the playoff game, and both have good home crowds.

Cardinals should already be done, but those f*ckers just won't die! lol

Bears continue to be laughing stocks.

Turns out Kromer had talked to someone at NFL and the buyers remorse comment came out. Kromer apologised to the entire team today. Cutler is being a nancy about it and its gonna get him fired.
Only Good OC bears have had in a decade and hes gonna get fired because Cutler is a terrible quarterback.

Now cutler is gonna sulk till Kromer gets fired.

Bears are just too stupid and inept top to bottom ><
