While that is worth a conversation, Brady is more than just stats..his ability to lead late 4th quarter drives and actually having been to and won multiple Super Bowls is something you can't possibly teach..

No, not a joke, Brady is going to have to re-hab from a serous injury and like any NFL QB he's taken a LOT of hits in the last 7 seasons. No disrespect to Brady but the fact is he is an unknown quantity until the team see's how the re-hab goes..

If cassel takes them deep in the playoffs (with the kind of numbers he's been putting up lately), there might be some talk of replacing brady.

No, not a joke, Brady is going to have to re-hab from a serous injury and like any NFL QB he's taken a LOT of hits in the last 7 seasons. No disrespect to Brady but the fact is he is an unknown quantity until the team see's how the re-hab goes..

Wait til after Cassel plays Pittsburgh before making any such comments. He's done well against mediocre defenses.

no no no no no. That WILL not happen. Cassel =/= Brady. They knew that brady could be better than bledsoe when they drafted him. Cassel does NOT have the deep ball or touch on passes over 15 yards. Beating up on a shitty miami D this week and the scrubs that the Jets call their starting D does NOT make himb etter than brady.


Also, Brady will not be 100% next season, it takes 2 seasons to get over that shit usually.

Exactly. The Jets and Dolphins are ranked 25th and 27th in passing defense respectively. Not exactly the top passing defenses in the league. His other games where he was over 100 for QB rating: Denver and KC. Denver is 28th and KC is 26th in passing defense. Then again, against SD who is last in passing defense, he had a QB rating of 61.6.

It'll take more than a couple good games to convince anyone in their right mind that they should trade last year's MVP and one of the (if not the) top QB in the league for a largely unproven back up guy, when you have no clue how he'll respond after his injury. I'm not saying Brady will come back and be the greatest again, but I'm certainly willing to bet the Pats aren't thinking "hey, we could trade TB away because he's gonna suck coming back after injury and we got this AWESOME QB Cassel!"

And for the record, lol, i HATE Tom Brady and the Pats.

Yea, Pitt will be a huge test next week but the Jets "D" ain't too shabby AND they knew he was throwing but he still racked up big yardage. Even Brady by the end of last season was not relying on the bomb to Moss very much, came back to the "dink and dunk" style so Cassel's lack of touch on long passes is not that big of a handicap.
