Just some observations:
1. Jets are lucky. That said, Luck can only take you so far. The Jets are a mix of of luck and talent. Yeah, they had the talent to win, but that win was due more to playing a Defense that is worse than the Pats or Colts. Sanchez has proved some of us doubters wrong, so I will give him his due.
2. Favre, just let that young QB work. You have set that team back X years in terms of growth. Not even Madden 11 would let you get away with some of the asinine passes you throw.
3. Pats/Colts....
a. They both have terrible D's. Pat's D showed fire, but it was hosed in the 2nd half. The Pat's D celebrates on 2nd down because they know the other team will covert on third down. The Pat's D seems to have no idea how to close out games. The Colt's secondary, on the other hand, they are bad, but not as bad as Houston's.
b. both teams had horrible halfs. Colt's the first, Pat's the 2nd. This game was a toss up. To say, "Oh, you won on your kicker's leg...." is dumb. Someone had to drive that ball down the field without an INT....
c. Why are we still arguing Brady or Manning? Manning is a better pure QB pound for pound, and Brady is better QB in terms of athleticism, but who cares? As the statistics show, just because you have a better QB does not mean you win more games. Brady had that record breaking 16-0 season and he has no SB to show for it. Manning has the stats of a hall of famer, but he only has 1 more ring than Marino. The only statistic that matters in the end of the day is wins/losses and super bowls.
d. Face it, neither of these teams are winning it all. The pats are just well coached (everyone thought this was a 10-6 team), while the Colts are gonna use Mannings arm until it falls off, which means he will throw INTs like he did in today's game.
The only consistent thing I have seen from that Pats offense is the ability to only have 1 good half. You hear the same thing from Brady each week, "Yeah, i wish we had a better (first)/(second) half, but we got the win". Yeah, that works in the regular season, but not the play offs.
