All I'm saying is that it is a bit early too be headin' off.

It's all been stated before, there's nothing he can't do at the WH he can't do at Camp David etc.

The one thing you are missing about him going to Camp David is the projection of an air that things are going well. If he had planned to go to Camp David and then stayed in DC the news hounds would be all over that fact wondering what was going so wrong that the President had to stay in DC to deal with it.

Think outside the box.

Let's say your mom dies. You're distraught over it. Your wife is home with you and comforts you. You appreciate all that she is doing for you. Then a day or so goes by and she says, "Oh you'll be alright...you can hold the fort down here. If you need professional help, you can go see our professional pyschiatrist. I on the other hand just feel like getting away for a while. I'll be able to still call you on the phone and send you emails though."

This may be a strange way of explaining what I'm trying to put across, but that's just the way I see it. Of course Bush can run the show from Camp David. Of course he has the military to handle things...

But this early in the game, I think that Bush should just stick around and see things through for a while...I don't think it's too much to ask

You have the right to worry about this like an old ladyif you really need to. I'm not going to worry and wring my hands about where he spends his weekend. As I said, if he stayed in DC it would cause more of a sense of consternation than what seems to be necessary at this time.

Well, different views...........😉 Number one, IF there is any threat, the Whitehouse/DC would be high on the list of targets.................Number two, as Etech touched on, you want to give the appearance of being at ease and all is going fine...................Number 3, no matter what may have been stated, you can bet money Bush/Cheney are nowhere near the same place this weekend. terror threat "high" is the first hint to this...................how many times have you seen them together period since 9/11 but especially during a high teror threat? There was the picture from earlier today with Cheney's back, but, I'll bet they are not near each other now.

If you afraid of them being together, just send Cheney off to an "Undisclosed Location." 😛

Well, it sounds like Saddam got his ass kicked in the first bombing attack. They now have images of Saddam being carried out in a stretcher to an ambulance from that building we hit.....🙂

Bush's decision to go ahead and try and get Saddam may turn out to be one of the best military decisions in some time...

Kudos to Bush for having the guts to go ahead and give it a try. It started the war sooner than the military really wanted, but it may in the end have done a ton of good...

Germany joins coalition by sending 100 WMD scientific specialists to help US in search and dismantling. Cool. France getting farther out on a limb as we go.

Chad- where did you find this info? I haven't heard that yet. heh Got any links or anything of the sort?

It was on MSNBC. A woman news reporter just reported it right before my post.

France Secretly Negotiating Saddam Exile Deal

Ah hell no, its to late for that sh!t. He either dies, or he gets tried for his war crimes. No exile. Its death or punishment.
