For those of you who do wish to follow along in your book:

CNN.com it will update each time you refresh the click, as news is posted.
Thank you Captain Obvious.

But, CNN does not always update its site as news happens. People here report news from various TV broadcasts before it hits the web or find news at sites OTHER than CNN.

Thanks for playing, though...we have some nice parting gifts for you.

So you prefer to have your news Manufactured without fact as Fox has been doing?

Your arrogance is only overshadowed by your stupidity.

Thanks for the Ricin update too...anything new about the Cessna?
All I found on the Cessna was this:

The most unusual attack began after 7am. US officers said a Cessna-type small aircraft fired at US Marines near Camp Commando in the eastern Kuwaiti desert, before diving on the marines and crashing within 100 metres of their positions. The missile landed 40km away.

From here

Thanks, of course we are all waiting to see if that palne was carrying or modified to carry wmd..

just an observation, gas prices went down in my town, yours?

thanks for the info kirk, I ask a simple question, I get attacked for DAYS, lol, but still no answer, I posted my simple question as a new ATOT to HOPEFULLY lure the morons who can't answer but feel they have to offer their opinion instead.....

LOL! Why single out FOX.......................CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, BBC, basicly all of them available are just as bad as the other.....................

from the air and ground forces currently underway can we assume this is the beginning of the dreaded
S & A?

3 out of the 7 wells possibly extinguished by marines....

CNN is but the first.......................all will be gone except those completely controled by iraqi officials........................things will get nasty now.....................🙁

I wouldn't want to stay anywhere near Baghdad until its over.....

Isnt it a bit hypocritical for the rest of the world to declare the " vital importance" of following unanimous UN sentiment to the US, when they have shown they won't even hold someone like Saddam to the same standard?

Quick note about news coverage:

Don't try to analyze what's going on for the first two weeks, as ALL media information, regardless of network is being told the 'Official' line
that is intended for publication, a combination of fact and fiction. Media control in a war zone is a necessitity, but a diplomatic cover of
allowing selected information out will appease the masses. Ask any vetran that actually did time in combat - that's a fact, Jack.

They are moving alot faster into Iraq then I thought they would. It goes to show the majority of Iraqies are not against the idea. At this rate the show of force may be over within a week.

To Anti War:

There may be some hogwash from Washington regarding the motives for this war, but if it prevents Saddam from having a nuclear button to push, i'm all for it.

Since the nazi moderator locks anything having to do with the war, I will post it here as well.

The single war thread is too constraining, in my opinion. It hinders discussion of what is going on. I can understand that too many war threads overrun Off Topic, but the current solution seems poor. Why not make something like a current events forum, in which individual aspects will be able to be discussed independently.

Anyone else think this would be a good idea?

Enjoy a week off Marty

I think Current Events would be a very good new category.

Calling the moderator a name like that is a quick way to find a permanent exit from these forums

One thread for news updates
One for news about the protests
And one for discussion on the politics.

Let's keep this one to war updates.

I couldnt even have a thread go 15 minutes to get a simple response to a simple question, and my attempt was trying to NOT tie up the official thread too much, oh well..
