Okay, since you are making me organize this AGAIN!

Place: Golden Spike Pub (3224 St. Johns Street, Port Moody)
Time: 6:00pm
Why: Cause I'm organizing it, and to watch hockey!

Then if you so choose, you could just head up the street to watch the strippers at the Barnet😛

PM me if you want to come. In December I'll ask the Mod's to sticky the details for everyone else.

Awww, so I won't be able to sky train it there? So I won't be able to drink a lot?

You're fired.

Cecil, 6 pm. Boobies and beer and hockey 🙂

hehehehehe

My thoughts exactly. 🙂 But damn, that's some high native resolution for 15", the stuff on the screen is gonna be tiny by default!

But I like that... More real estate to work with. 🙂

I dunno if I'm gonna get it though...

Well, since my Boston Bruins thread revealed that I seem to be the sole B's fan here, I guess I'll post here since it's going to be a big game tonight for sole possesion of first overall in the NHL. The B's have been playing well this year, and seem much improved over last year under new cach Mike Sullvan. It should be a great game, and I am actually giving the edge to Vancouver since we played tonight on the road in Columbus....a shutout no less. 😉

I'm so torn...stay home and watch the B's try to keep their hold on first in the NHL, or go to the AHL game being a season ticketholder and all. Arrrghhh.. 😀

Boston certainly is looking to have a breakout year. A Boston/Canucks Final perhaps? 😉 🙂

Wel, it's a bit early for that...but it would be awesome. A trap free final with 6-5 scores and such? It's funny...the Devils may win a lot of games and the cup playing their style...but MAN...it's painful to watch. :| The AHL team I have season tickets for, the Monarchs (LA Kings), played Albany the other night...the Devils farm team..and they play that exact same trap trap trap style.....booooooooooooring. 🙁 One guy in, four guys back...get a goal and trap trap trap your way to the EXCITING 1-0 win!

Tonight's game was pretty cool....got to see jumbo Joe get in a fight...😉

I've really been impressed with this Patrice Bergeron kid we've got...he wasn't even expected to play ths year, and he is the leading rookie scorer. You can tell after watching him play for a few minutes that he has a good deal of skill and some soft hands. The upgrades to the scouting department since Mike O'Connel took over from Sinden are starting to pay dividends... 🙂

I guess I will be stuck listening to the radio.

Oh really? That sucks... I've got Direct TV and I watch all the B's game on NESN. If you would like, I could try to record it with my Leadtek TV card...might be a good idea since I'll likely go to the Monarchs game and miss it.

Man...Thornton cracks me up sometimes...this is what he said about serving 17 minutes in penalties for his 2nd period fight...

Thornton was assessed 17 minutes in penalties - instigating, fighting, 10-minute misconduct - and didn't get out of the box until 4:21 remained in the game.

"It was long,'' said Thornton of his time in the penalty box. "But I had some guy sitting behind me giving me peanuts, so it worked out all right. "

ROFL! 🙂

LOL 😀

We get most games on TV except 17 PPV and 2 games that are not shown.......... the rest are free on the regular cable channels.

Silverpig...there is a perfectly good bus you can take from the Lougheed station. I believe the bus stops right outside the Spike! 🙂

Mucman...when was the last time you were at the Spike? And also if you have too much to drink, then you can crash at my house! How easy is that! 🙂

Bruins host Canucks in battle of the best

Sports Ticker
11/15/2003

BOSTON (Ticker) -- The current conference leaders in the NHL meet for the first time this season when the Boston Bruins host the Vancouver Canucks at the FleetCenter.

The Bruins and Canucks are tied for the most points in the NHL with 23. Vancouver is one of just two teams in the league with 10 wins while Boston has a league-low two losses.

The Canucks have dropped the first two games of a three-game road trip after a 4-3 overtime loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday.

Todd Bertuzzi scored with 7.2 seconds left in regulation before Simon Gagne beat goaltender Dan Cloutier from the top of the crease 1:47 into overtime to hand Vancouver its third consecutive road loss.

Jason King and Matt Cooke also scored for the Canucks, who allowed more than three goals for the first time this season.

Vancouver has lost three of four and is trying to avoid losing three straight games for the first time since March 7-10, 2002.

Boston stretched its unbeaten streak to four games (3-0-1) with a 4-0 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday.

Glen Murray scored twice and defenseman Dan McGillis and Brian Rolston each had a goal and an assist for the Bruins, who points in eight consecutive games (5-0-1-2).

Felix Potvin made 24 saves for his second shutout of the season for Boston, which is trying to match a season-high four-game winning streak from October 15-21.

Vancouver won its only meeting with Boston last season and has won its last two visits to the FleetCenter.

Cheers,
Aquaman

Too much to drink? Never happens... you know I hate every bar, right? 😉
