Wow! At last, the long-awaited UT3 requirements.
I don't understand this part...a Radeon x1300 would be a "recommended" spec? Maybe the game runs much better on ATI cards than nVidia cards? If an x1300 is "recommended" then the game should scream on my x800xt.
Does anyone know what "recommended" means in terms of frame rates? I suspect that the "recommended" hardware's performance won't satisfy most serious gamers.
I wonder how important it is to have a dual core CPU. Do those CPU speeds refer to Pentium speeds and not AMD speeds? Wouldn't a single core Athlon 64 3500 (2.2 Ghz) be much more powerful than a Pentium 4 2.2 Ghz single core? Could a fast single core hold its own against a lower-clocked dual core?

Thats pretty freakin sweet. The UT engines have always played well on low-mid range game systems.
Not when they first came out. I'm highly suspect of what kind of experience merely meeting those specs will provide.

I played the original UT for a long time on a system just barely meeting the minimum specs. This included the original demo. I think it's more than fair to say UT games have played well on low-end systems.
I can't say what UTIII will bring though.

I don't think I have ever been happy with the way any Unreal game has played on any system I had when it came out, going all the way back to the first one and up until the last one. I'm guess I'm being a bit picky, but I've personally had to upgrade for every Unreal game to get performance I was happy with.

or maybe the recommended is simplay based on SM 3.
