You should have held on the to the context, I was responding to "another 20 years of beating up on inferior non-conference opponents." Not this year specifically. A teams schdule strength could change based on what the rankings come to at the time. But if you look at the 5-10 year trends, OSU basically picked right from the top for its OOC. USC/Texas/Miami are possibly the best teams nationally since 2000 (Miami maybe be falling off that list more recently) Who else would schedule all of those three?

Arkansas scheduled Texas and USC during that time. The Hogs play some terrible, terrible OOC games, but they sometimes surprise their fans with a destruction to the hands of a national power.
I get it, though. Most teams think their conference schedules are brutal enough, and don't feel the need to schedule a tough OOC game. Still, I think games like that really help in the end. I think it prepares the kids for later in the year with the playoff-type atmosphere generated by these huge OOC games. Plus it gives the fans a match-up they've always wanted. I am greedy as a fan. I want my team (Arkansas) to play major teams. I love to see them win, but honestly, I don't have unrealistic expectations. I just want to see the game. I get bored to death watching Louisiana-Munroe and 1-AA schools every year (this year they both almost won!!). Makes me long for the SEC schedule.

I know! That list is hilarious, and it's true. The Hogs are soooo bad about their OOC schedule. Always have been.
It doesn't really matter what will happen. If OSU loses the OSU apologists will just say it's because Beanie wasn't 100% or not playing. If they win (god I hope not), we'll never hear the end of it, at least until they get their third beatdown in the NC game.
That's the difference between these two dumb teams.
Ohio State loses a game, their fans thump their chest just as hard, and for what reason...
USC loses a game, and 20% of their fan base mysteriously dissapears.
Both pathetic if you ask me.

i dont watch or follow college football at all, and hope OSU loses simply because their fans on this message board alone are more annoying then cassiotech

You do know that the 'widely regarded' "best conference in football", the SEC, gets owned by the PAC 10 EVERY year right? If the Big 10 can't hold a candle to the SEC, and the SEC gets whooped by the PAC 10, I hereby invoke the transitive property to deduce that the Big 10 cannot prove the PAC 10 conference is pathetic, even with an Ohio State win.

Both of LSU's BCS wins were won in thier own backyard, with suspect calls in their favor both times.
I'm not sure i'd be terribly proud of that.
While I understand why USC is favored, what I don't understand is why people are so certain its going to be a blowout...didn't USC lose at home last season to Stanford?

I'm very proud of my teams solid 2 wins.
As an OSU fan it's understandable for you to be bitter about constantly not having much to be happy about for the past 3 seasons.

EDIT: On second thought, lets dig a little deeper. Enlighten me on these "suspect calls".
