Official update rollout of Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) starting this week

Depending on carrier, which most of them look like they will be pushing the update out on the 27th. Anyone else excited?

I never did the beta or leaked RTM version, tomorrow ill be updating my Focus (v1.3 ftw). Hopefully the rollout is smoother than the last!

Keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow. It would be a miracle if MS somehow got all 4 carriers to release the update on the same day.

I was pleased that they aren't going to make those of us who already have the "beta" Mango installed roll back to NoDo before updating to the final build. That would have been kind of annoying.

Just got my temp phone Samsung Focus until Nexus Prime (maybe). But so far even without Mango, I'm really enjoying the UI of WP7... seems a lot more intuitive than a screen full of icons like iOS.

Waiting for Mango push today though

is this update supposed to be OTA or over Zune? I just got an update prompt, and it told me to go to Zune to get the update. (Samsung Focus)

Through Zune. None of the Windows Phone updates actually occur OTA - just the notification.

Upgrading mine as we speak - I'm quite impressed with the speed with which they're rolling this out. Especially since I have a Venue Pro (notoriously late to get updates) and I'm on the developer beta (which, up until last week, was not supposed to have a direct upgrade path).

The dev beta was awesome, I don't expect much to be changed in the official version, but I'm still excited.

Dang, this morning before work the microsoft update page for Telus said Scheduling and now it says Delivering Update! Can't wait to get home from work!

HD7 update went smoothly.

After NoDo's mediocre delivery, this very much renews my faith in Microsoft. It seems carriers are pushing the update out simultaneously worldwide.

There are a lot of minor updates that I've noticed so far that just make the OS look nicer but my favorite addition so far is the ability to specify a timeout for entering a password. I always lock my phone when I put it down so it's nice not to have to re-enter my password if someone texts me right after I lock it.

I already had the ability to specify time for password entry.

So far all I found was little things, like grouped emails (which I dont care about) a couple things in Settings like battery saver, and no improvements to color themes, which I really wanted. There is Sky Drive syncing but I dont care about that either. Guess it could be nice if I did everything from my Hotmail account, but I still prefer Google for now.
There is finally a To-do list that looks to be integrated with Email, which I have been waiting on forever.

Looks like the market and games list has been streamlined, thats nice to see.
