The goal was off a freekick.

The basketball reference is Henry's corner which Zidane flicked but Gallas headed but missed it.

Yeah. Ball to hand makes sense to a defender but definitely not when it leads to unfair control of the ball that leads to a goal.

I'm re-watching the England/Switzerland match. Man, those Swiss were simulating quite a bit more than I thought. Haas deserved to be put off.
