*OFFICIAL* UEFA Champions League Final: Man U - Barca

Barca got the tie against Chelsea, playing MAN DOWN no less. Iniesta with a goal in stoppage time to tie it up.

Finals May 27th: Barca - Man U

I was hoping Barca would go through and as an Arsenal fan I'd love for them to destroy those bastards from United in the final.

On the note of the game itself though, that was the most disgraceful officiating I've seen in a long time. That's on the same level as Mr. Poll booking a player three times before sending him off at the WC in '06...

yeah, officiating was terrible. Abidal's red card was complete crap and undeserved. amazing Barca was still able to get the tie being man down.

Sorry man, I assure you it was not on purpose.

Once again Chelsea cannot close. Shut out the highest scoring team in the world for 184/185 minutes but manage to still blow it.

They shut them out, sure. But they weren't playing football. The first leg especially (they were more expansive and actually looked to compete going forward in the second leg) was a testament to the physicality of the Chelsea side, not their ability to play the game. At the Camp Nou they sat 10 men behind the ball at all times and looked to push Barca's more talented players off the ball through thug tactics - Fair play to them, it almost worked, but I know which team I'd rather watch from a neutral point of view.

I EXPLODED at work watching the game via espn360... everybody down my hallway and in my lab came running because I literally just started yelling when Iniesta took Barca through. Such a nice and disciplined pass from Messi to find Iniesta at the top of the box. Name me any other striker that would have that kind of discipline 3 minutes into overtime in the CL Semis to not try a desperate shot while the two defenders were on top of him. Seeing Drogba take that dive (well, honestly it *could* have been a bit of incidental contact) completely obliterated any support I had for Chelsea - because honestly I was expecting Chelsea to win, and would love to see them beat ManU. So yeah, great game. Unbelievable finish. /bowdown to Iniesta - what a hero.

lol i was almost the complete opposite. threw down my pen and let out an audible "NO!" when Iniesta scored as my coworkers looked at me oddly haha Great drama. I wanted Chelsea to go through because I think they would have been a stronger opponent for Manchester United considering Barcelona's injuries and suspensions for the final. Should be a great final though!

I'd like to see MUFC win 4 trophies this year. I still have a stock certificate when I used to be an owner.

Go Barca! I'll have to avoid all sports stuff at work tomorrow so I can watch it fresh when I get home.

Just came in to say Go Barca one more time. I'll be avoiding this thread now since I can't watch until the replay at 4:30PM Pacific.

Not a Man U fan but gotta support the English players in the team - Rooney, Ferdinand, etc. Come on the reds.

Barcelona simply outclassed Man Utd frankly. Supported them tonight; love their brand of football.

So happy Barcelona won that game. I love that team. Totally outplayed Man U today. Can't believe a short guy like Messi was able to get a header for a goal.
