OK, so this really is last week's 24 thread, but, in an effort to conserve bandwith ;) , I've decided to edit it, and save space to comment on this week's show. The idea being that the same ppl. always post to this thread, so others could edit their posts and make this a coherent thread. Will this actually catch on? Who knows. Is this a dumb idea? Maybe I'll need to set up a poll as well and ask. ;)

So

****************This space reserved for 24 shown on 4/23/02**********

Ack. No new episode next week!

Another good episode. Kim doing what would generally be viewed as dumb actions, actually paid off this time.

Kinda strange to see a big name actor (cough cough) as Lou Diamond Philips get killed so matter-of-factly.

The show has prepped me to pretty much be surprised if none of the Bauers die by the end.

What happened in the first 10 minutes of the episode? I missed it due to the fscking moronic news vultures covering "storm damage" here... Did I miss anything good? :D

Nothing too interesting happened in the first ten minutes. Jack and his boss dude (can't remember his name) were looking around. There is a lot of tension in the Palmer marriage. Jack's wife seemed to regain her memory, or at least some of it. The dude that saved Terri and her "friend" was gonna take her "friend" to the "clinic" and Terri back to CTU hq. It was a kick ass episode.

First 10 minutes are typically just to recap stuff and bring ppl. up to date. Basically, Jack wants to stay and look around the area, but his boss leaves. Tony loads Mrs. Bauer's 'friend' into the car with her. I think that's about it.

Spooner, I hope the reason you missed this episode involved a hot looking female... ;)

Sohcrates isn't even here! I thought I'd have to rename this to just "Tonight's 24 episode" so you'd have a better chance of finding it.

Edit: Good work Smacksmackums

What is wrong with all of you!?!? Missing the first 10 minutes.... missing the whole episode entirely.... tsk tsk... you people disappoint me.

I still have a reminder for 24 in Outlook's calendar, as a backup, should I ever forget it's on (unlikely).

Despite all this, I will continue to post spoilers to tonight's episode in the form of questions below.

It seems the big question now is, how did Victor Drazen "survive" that building attack? Most of the resolvements have been top notch in the show, so I don't know if they'd do a simple "It was his evil... uh, I mean good twin that went in" type response.

So I guess Jack did his first fully officially stupid move going into that place by himself. I thought Drazen's son would've offed him for the helluvit early in the episode.

Did you read the part about the news being on covering the storm? The storm coverage was on for a good hour and a half so I was watching Smallville - 10 minutes in I change back and then they end that coverage and go to 24

Jack said it was a setup - the mission was designed to fail - it was only meant to look like he was killed.

You should've called your local cable company and complained. ;)

Ah yes, you're right. I wonder how Drazen eventually got into the US to get arrested, unless it was some hushhush capture him in Bosnia, bring him to US and speak nothing of it type scenario.

yea they showed it after, at 12:30 at night!!! u see, after baseball they gotta show the news, then they gotta show sienfield and some other stuff.. then 24 and richter. wtf!! i'm happy they show it at all but it deserves a 2nd prime time showing if they do something lousy to it like that.. the injustice.

good show though;)

I set the VCR for 12 a.m. to 1 a.m., since that's what was advertised during the show last week... and seeing all the 'best episode ever!' and 'second best episode ever!' posts in various forums, I think my head may explode. So, if anyone cares to post full spoilers (at least for the last half hour), I'd appreciate it.

lmao that would be so awesome

well, in the order of subplots....

we see that palmer's wife is in this all for herself now, she doesn't seem to care for david at all; she just wants to be the first lady

kim is screwed, nobody believes her, and she looks like she's gonna be tossin salad pretty soon

ooooo now for jack ;)

so he ends up in this level 3 detention facility, which is basicaly a "jail that doesn't exist"; at exactly 7:20, the guy was supposed to turn the power off. why? because they were getting a prisoner at 7:20. jack does some stuff and at 720, they prisoner transfer comes. things aren't as planned for the bad guys so they don't attack. jack finds out it's victor dreysin and WTF ensues.

OK, here's basically what happened: ***SPOILERS***

Kim - She gets arrested and the cop hits her up to see what she knows about the drug deal, which is basically nothing. She tells him story of her day, but he doesn't believe her. She gives the cop CTU's # and insists he calls it. He puts her in the prison, not calling CTU as of yet.

Teri - She and Tony get in the van to take her friend to the hospital. She regains her memory and Tony tells her Kim is alive, calming her down a bit, but wanting to find her.

Palmer doesn't trust nor love his wife anymore. His press conference confession earlier seems to actually be helping him in the polls.

Jack - His boss leaves him and he searches around. He finds an underground facility, which turns out to be a prison (Lou Diamond Philips is the guy in charge). He finds out that at 7:20 a prisoner is to be dropped off, and no one knows who the guy is. Jack preps the ppl. there to look armed while taking in the prisoner, cuz he figures Drazen's crew is nearby. Drazen and his men are nearby but don't attack since the power didn't go off as planned. Jack needs authority to even see the prisoner, so he calls Palmer for clearance. Turns out the prisoner is Victor Drazen, whom Jack thought he killed. The Bosnia mission was meant to fail from the beginning and it was all a setup apparently. Not much is said between Jack and Victor yet, but they decide to move him from that facility since it isn't safe.

Oh, and pretty boy Drazen (who was stabbed) apparently is alive and will be interrogated soon.

Next week Drazen's son and crew try to get Victor out basically.

I love how they never let on that Dennis Hopper was in this episode... so people wouldn't think he'd "be" in this one... since he already let the cat out of the bag, that he would be a guest in one of the upcoming episodes...

Although I must say he sounds a bit funny in that accent... funny in a good way, if he looked different I might mistake him for a real slavic actor.. ;)
