Apparently the Chinese calender is 9 months long

tie breaker =

If Chinese = +1
If 12 y/o = +1
If Liukin = -1
else = lose

I'd like to know if the Chinese could prove that they did not make up that "formula" on the spot

There has been a controversy as to her actual age. Her 2008 passport and the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG) list her date of birth as January 1, 1992,[3][4] which would make her 16 years, 220 days old during the 2008 Olympic opening ceremonies and therefore old enough to compete. However, her age as of 2008 has been reported by the Chinese press as 14,[4][2][5] and her birthdate has been given by the Chengdu Sports Bureau and other registration sources as January 1, 1994, which would make her 14 years, 220 days old during the Opening ceremonies, and therefore too young to participate in the 2008 Summer Olympics.[4][2] In addition, in a November 2007 speech in Wuhan, Chinese sporting official Liu Peng introduced He as a 13-year-old.[2] However, on August 2, the International Olympic Committee stated that they would not investigate the discrepancy in He's reported age, stating that the FIG's own verification system would be acceptable proof of eligibility. The FIG, in responding to the situation, stated that they would not ask for additional proof of age beyond the passports already supplied by Chinese officials.

Fuckers.

What the hell, this new Chinese girl, it just said 15 on the screen. I guess NBC decided to tell us the truth?

Eh, they've been entertaining. The Chinese men are simply incredible & our dudes did pretty well given the Hamms were out of it & no one expected anything out of them. Our women took 1-2 in the all-around, & if China has to cheat to win those events, then it says a lot about their nation - it confirms what we already know. :p

After watching those uneven bar routines, I have to say the errors of the Chinese girl stick out more in my mind, I remember her stutter on the bar but I can't really think of anything wrong that Nastia did except her legs maybe came apart a little?

Hopefully someone listens to Bela, I miss the out of 10 scoring too.

FIG and the IOC have bent over and lubed up for China, they will not do a thing.

Liukin is a class act, it's a travesty that she consistently gets shit on over there..

If all she said was "?I hope we do some damage and, you know, kick some Russian butt,? I fail to see the trash talk. Of course she wants to kick some Russian butt. Isinbayeva's the world record holder and huge favorite. Was she supposed to say "and, you know, not get gold"? Of course, if she said more than that, then this argument is invalid.

It wasn't super inflammatory but why'd she refuse to talk about it in the press conference?

She singled her out and probably just gave the Russian more motivation.
