I chose this as my first game to play on my new PS5. I know it’s last gen but the game is just gorgeous. Really exceptional lighting and art direction and runs at a solid 60 fps. Fun gameplay and exploration too.

Ugh if I could get a PS5 that's what I'd play first too. Still bitter about Best Buy screwing up my 2FA email when I had a Digital Edition in checkout. Especially with AMD making it sound like we're not going to see these in stores regularly until maybe 2H 2021.
 
Sorry about the thread bump...

Just wanted to say I have had my eye on this game since it launched, but just never pulled the trigger as I just dont play FPS or 3rd Person Shooters on consoles (or even PCs anymore to be honest). Regardless, I bought the game the other week and holy crap I love it. 100% addicted and I know I'm only like 1% the way through at this point.

LOL turns out we didn't start seeing PS5 actually in stock in stores until February 2023.

Amazing game. 100% better if you play with Japanese voices though, as Sakai always sounds mad as hell in Japanese.

How are you still not aware that this game is not an FPS or 3PS at this point lol?

Yes lol.

Third person action/adventure is what I'd call this genre.

There is a big difference between Gears of War and Ghost of Tsushima.

I also understand why people prefer FPS/3PS on PC, because it's much easier and more precise to aim with a mouse over a controller.

I don't know, 3PS seem better with controller. Played gears 1-3 on console, then I played gears 4 on PC. I tried with mouse, but it was kind of disorienting, so went back to controller. Might be dependent on how the aim assist works in game or just could have been too used to controller for that game. Also seemed to hold true for me with HZD and Death Stranding on PC.

FPS is definitely better with KB/mouse.

I've been taking my time and trying to clear "everything" available. While I did already beat the 1st castle, I haven't wandered into Act 2 yet as I'm still scouring the Act 1 map for all the little bits and pieces.
 
They killed my horse!?!?

I did make a mistake and went to Ikki island too early before finishing the main storyline. And in addition to that I didn't finish one of the stories/missions in Act I and now being in Act III I can't go back (yet)

I'm still really upset about the spoiler I mentioned. I was gutted.
God damn I love this game.
 
The game is super. When I bought it, I did not expect that the game would be so deep in my ears, on the first day I played without stopping for 12 hours. The graphics on the pro and 4K monitor are simply amazing. I think one of the best games of this year. The plot and story in the game are very interesting. Pumping and battles are on top, stealth is also excellent.
 
It is a great game. I am replaying the directors edition on my PS5 (already played it on PS4) and y only problem is the cookie-cutter houses. Not enough variations on internal structures.
