Most likely going.
Now I don't know if I can go. My girlfriend got scheduled to work until 7pm and we only have one car.

:( That's all right. It's just going to be me and CorporateRecreation making fun of each other anyways.

We'll have to do something to kickoff your last semester in the fall though...

She is going to try and find someone to cover for her so hopefully that goes through.

Can you drop her off at work and have a friend pick her up? It'd be cool to have you come in.

It's a two and a half hour drive for me to get there. We were planning on staying at her parents house in Naperville for the weekend and I prefer not to stay there by myself.

Okay guys... how's this for a plan?

We meet Sat night in front of D&B's (identifyable attires to be discussed) at 9pm. When there's atleast 3 of us we'll go in and from then on those of us who are late can communicate with me or whoever else by cell phone. (Mine is 773-616-5529)

Prior to that we can have dinner for those who are interested. Here are some ideas for the vicinity: Hope this works.

Within walking distance, I vote for Chipotle, Aki Hana, Tsunami, Amarit Thai, or Sushi Doraku...

Come on guys, lets get some brain juices flowin'...

I guess that would work... but some people were talking about a movie afterwards, and I'd like to actually be awake to see it. :)
So I might vote for an earlier time, but maybe that's just me.

Also, I'm not really familiar with those restaurants. But they all sound rather Oriental.
Any other options that would have a more varied selection of foods?

Agreed. I might not be able to make it to the dinner because I don't have a whole lot of money to spend right now. However, if it isn't too expensive, I can swing it. I think Chipotle is a Mexican restaurant because I recall getting a burrito or something from there before. I would rather go for a wider selection but I'm not sure what's available downtown. Maybe I'll just swing by a Burger King or something if nothing else is available.

Anyways, about the movie....

Is anybody else interested in seeing it @ AMC 30 in South Barrington? I know a few people actually live in the NW Suburbs (i.e. DeafeningSilence, Citation, CorporateRecreation will be in the area) so we could all go if you guys are interested. I haven't looked up times yet or anything but maybe it would be smart to get our tickets ahead of time. Please respond to the thread if you're interested in seeing the movie @ AMC.

Okay...

How's about you guys decide on dinner from the vicinity map in my link, D&B's at 8, and then perhaps a movie?

I don't really care, but personally I love AMC30 at Barrington. And thats probably why I'd kinda rather goto D&Bs Shaumburg but got outvoted.

You guys come up with some ideas for dinner, otherwise we could just meet at D&Bs.

busmaster ...

How about Italian ... Papa Milano's is a small place thou ... they shove thier tables together for groups.
They are inexpensive also (around 8 to 10 bucks if I remember right) and you might have leftovers to give to the bums .... :p
(without booze)
I think its about 3 blocks (*visualizing*)
And Starbucks is around the corner for the pick-me-up.
We could walk up Rush street to see the *sights* (if ya know what I mean)
Then ,,, cut west over to D&B's
I could do this or something similar, since I have a budget.

I'll have dinner with ya if no one else can.

Oooo ... the Matrix Reloaded is open this week ...
(lotsa theaters downtown too)

AMC 30 werks fer me.

Also, we may as well work out a carpool for those coming from suburbs. Should be pretty easy to work out for the 3 of us from Palatine (if you guys are interested).

TallBill, where do you live? Are you looking for a ride?

I suggest buying the tickets beforehand, AMC had 7 screens of the X-Men 2 showing and all sold out opening night. Sunday was pretty full when I got in too.

As for dinner, chipotle is ehh.... Amarit Thai seems decent. Maybe Zoom Kitchen or Scoozi!, found them from citysearch.
