espn.com just confirmed that Dale Earnhardt has in fact died as a result of the accident that occurred half a lap from the end of the Daytona 500 today. 🙁

This is unbelieveable...I hate car racing, I hate nascar...but this guy is a legend and aparently a good guy overall. That is so sad. 🙁

Its just sad and I still believe Car Racing is just a stupid sport because of this. If you had 18 drivers on the highway driving that close at half the speed they drive it would be dangerous, but I'm not in the mood to open up that discussion.
 
Man, I'm in shock. I have been involved with racing my entire life, and you never get over it when one of your own dies. I can't believe this.
 
This is fuc&ing unbelievable! The whole time he was just trying to hold off everyone else so Waltrip and his son could have the win. This is the sadest day in sports in a long time.

He's the only reason that I even watch NASCAR when I do. He's always been my favorite NASCAR driver. The first model car I built was of his #3 Lumina 🙁

It is a moronic sport. It takes skill, but not inborn talent. I mean, they pimp these stupid cars and engines, then they turn left. And guys die all the time!

People shouldn't b*tch out boxing. racing is a lot more dangerous.
