BTW, eakers lives in the East Coast, eh? She's a different breed than mine.

I usually use just bread for my PB&J. If I feel like a treat, then I will lightly toast the bread and add the peanut butter and jelly after the toasting. However, the extra wait (about 1 minute) for toast means I usually use just bread.

I have never seen someone make the sandwich and toast it afterward. That way only one side of the bread gets toasted. 🙁 I do use a sandwich maker at times but I've never tried it with PB&J (Instead I use pizza sauce and pepperoni or I'll make a jelly and sugar desert).
