I wonder if SM's Dev Patel will win for best leading actor

It could have been the case.

Seriously, this was probably the most predictable Oscar night EVER. From Slumdog to Button, without forgetting Penn and Winslet on the way.

And... of course, Sean Penn HAD TO COMPLAIN and BITCH about something...

Thought Mickey deserved that award and Dark Knight deserved a couple more "technical" Oscars... (especially over BB).

And... WTF only 3 nominees for Best Original Song?

Proof 1 that the Oscars are bullshit:

Brad Pitt's movie beats Dark Knight and Iron Man for visual effects.

Are you kidding me, they had to put brad pitts face on every damn scene he was in where he was a different character. What a bitch.

No, they used extensive makeup. Thats why they won the Makeup Oscar. Bitch.

First ~50 minutes of film were digitized according to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AUmX9xvWD0

Still not "every damn scene". Dark Knight had special effects in most scenes, so did Iron Man.

Besides the fact that you're wrong, best special effects is not an award for how many scenes you put them in.

It's an award for quality, for doing something groundbreaking. I loved the Dark Knight, but there was not much unique about it's effects.

Sometimes it's not just about the performance of the actress but also about the role itself. There was no way Kate Winslet could lose with such a juicy part.

Seriously, who the hell came up with the idea of having Hugh Jackman as host? The guy is completely boring and witless. This opening routine is just brutal. I could think of 30 people who would be better as a host.

I found it funny... Maybe he is hamming it up on purpose?

Rourke was frickin robbed

He was fantastic, but I thought Penn was great in Milk too. I had it as a 50/50 chance for either of them. That said, I would have picked Rourke if it were up to me.

😱 whooops. I could have made a killing with that, or been killed, I can't figure out which!

Why is everyone so down on slumdog? Of all the movies nominated it's the only one that actually had something to say, I mean, what is the point of Benjamin Button? It's just like Forest Gump but crap.

Well the Academy neglected to mention SIR Anthony Hopkins.

I believe Anthony Hopkins has American citizenship so he can't be called Sir.

Rubbish he's still British and that's his title.

Because Hindu Gods are real, so the Indians got their prayers fulfilled. The Christian God is an impostor who takes your money and build big churches and buy fancy cars, not unlike your investment managers who use your money for hookers and blow, and give AIDS and cancer to little children. What a bastard.
