Stop calling it SC!!! that abbreviation is forever reserved for StarCraft, which beat the hell out of TA when it came out...

maybe that's why the called it Supreme Commander, as retaliation for the fact that SC beat out TA, and now they're trying to re-create SC as a gamers abbreviation for Supreme Commander... sneaky bastards

I'm loving this game. I just can't play it back to back like I always did with Starcraft. It's more mentally taxing and gives me more eye strain than Starcraft ever did. Zooming in and out, and micromanaging so many things. I'll take some screenshots one of these days with the max settings on.

SC is a thousand times better than Starcraft.

I posted more screenshots of SC: Link

Just did a few more missions of the campaign (UEF).
Seriously, why the heck did they make number 2 so darn tough?

Also, I think all the torpedo defenses should have a little more range, but thats just my opinion.

For all of you who havent yet used the tuorials, DO SO!
I didnt understand all the complexities with using power and mass generators to assist factories and power/mass storage as well.
I also didnt know that you can fill transports with all kinds of units to make ghetto gunships.

The videos are actually pretty helpful.

I don't know if many of you realized this, but the campaign is pretty short.

I really doubt that. Supreme Commander may have much better graphics and some nice new units, but it's not like shield structures and nuke launchers haven't been done before. Another major point of complaint: every race has the exact same unit and building options. So sure, yeah, the game is perfectly balanced; every side has the exact same weaknesses and strengths.

The game is fun for a while, but it doesn't really stand out from any other decent RTS.

I don't think this game is competing with the C&C series.

I think the games are too different for that.

In the beginning I encountered one of the bugs (which sucked) until I realized that there was a patch.
I think another patch was released not to long ago (the 3220 patch?).

And why is everyone complaining about Supreme Commander not running well. I don't have a problem with it 😉

I'm still liking the game, finally started the UEF campaign after some skirmishing to get a feel for the units.

My only complaint is how the missions keep going. And going. And going. You'll finish everything, then it's "OMG you have to go get this other scientist now and take him here, then go build this thing."

I've never played the campaign. To me, the whole fun of RTSes is playing with friends.

I am just blown away by the ability to enable dual monitors and keep tabs different battlefronts. This is very cool. Are there any other games that have multiple monitor support?

Shooters, and I think maybe certain grognard games.

Thanks to SupCom, the pathetic zoom in C&C now seems ludicrous. Why did they even bother putting a "zoom" in the game if it barely moves?! The maps are going to feel really small too judging by the demo. SupCom FTW.

One of my gripes about supreme commander is that the units seem so SMALL. I can't even differentiate the unit types without putting some serious effort into it.

They're actually a reasonable size. It's just that the maps are GIGANTIC compared to every other RTS and you're zoomed out a lot more.

No all the units are *not* the same. The differences are subtle (projectile type: ballistic, laser, weird anti-matter thing, speeds of correlating units, RoF, etc.) but they do exist and they DO have an impact on gameplay. Ask anyone playing SC whether or not the T1 tank units are equal. They are NOT. So spend more than an hour on the game, if you've even played it at all, and come back with real criticisms not stemming from ignorance.

Check it out.
