Well, the 1v1 option was gone for me after the patch, then I exit and relogin and it is back again.

Bumping this up. Was adding friends once again after the most recent update and noticed that several were no longer valid and had not update the list with their new nicks. Feel free to post to this thread to update and as always folks just getting into this beta please feel free to post as well

sorry i missed your message nsa. I was watching streams. And yes, teammates who do nothing suck. I had one that never made more then the base probes and never built another base. Luckily, both the people we faced did nearly the same thing so I just took 3 extra bases and attacked with 10 carriers.

Heh it's ok, was more of a vent IM. Mine was actually building units but would not talk to me at all. I can understand not doing constant chatter but not telling your teammate what you're planning on doing to better co-ordinate is plain stupid.

Can you do 2v2 ranked matches with people you invite or is it always random?

You can invite other people, form a party and search for a game.

Just got my beta key. I dont' think I'll play any SC2 games until I familiarize myself with all three of the race's units, strengths, weaknesses, and general tech orders. That might take a little while... :\ I was pretty bad at the original starcraft, now with all the units changed around I'm even worse.

Eh don't worry, not everybody has a natural knack for the game. Some folks it takes a little time to master.
