My review: Like a Taiwanese karate movie with lots of pointless swinging about of sabers, dubbed into english so you can understand the very limited plot. Would have been better without the dubbing.
Side note: Why do folks cheer for the rebels? A hereditary aristocracy propped up by a mystic warrior cult was replaced with a merit-based civil goverment, not a democratic system, but a step up at least.
wouldn't the chancellor being this all powerful dark sith lord know there's a camera in his room/office? wouldn't that be more than enough evidence to debunk the chancellor's claim the jedis tried to kill him? Or are we to assume the jedi would be able to manipulate video also?

another continuity question. In TESB, while luke is leaving dagobah to go to cloud city to save han and leia, obi-wan says that boy is our last hope. But yoda counters by saying there is another. Did they cut the scene where Obi-wan says "oh sh!t, I forgot about her."?
I haven't figured out this small continuity slippage...also, when Luke travels to Dagobah for the first time, he mentions to R2 that there is something familiar about it...I always assumed that the twins were born on Dagobah.
They also did not establish how Yoda ended up on Dagobah and why that cave on Dagobah was strong in the dark side.

Zahn...isn't that the guy who came up with the brilliant plot of friggin iguanas that can work as force barriers?
I don't really care for extended universe novelization...if it ain't in the movies, then it didn't happen!!!

Just got back from seeing it with my wife. I couldn't care less but she likes SW and so we went.
I found it monotonous (saberfights) and loaded with soap opera dialogue (Padme: "I don't know you any more"). Watching Vader and Obi-Wan saberfight for an hour knowing neither one can die takes all the suspense away.
On the way home my wife said it was average to below average and expected better. She also thought Anakin's turn to the dark side was unbelievably fast.
"Turn to the dark side, Anakin"
"No! Well....OK."
I found myself daydreaming about incongruous things like "they can fly across the galaxy but can't figure out how to hold on to a light sabre" and "they fight with guns that shoot projectiles - what, they never heard of bombs?"
