Oh, and another thing. What about the lava in the final fight? No one could get that close without bursting into flames. Geologists have to wear heat-resistant suits when they are a good distance away.

Edit: I really liked the movie and regret crapping in the thread like this, I just had a hard time fully enjoying the scene because being so close to the lava and not even being a little sweaty was hard to swallow.

I was wondering that as well.

THey probably can because of soemthing to do with the force or something. You know, think science fictiony.

ALso remember we cant achieve anywhere near lightspeed yet they are moving faster than light speed. Again science fiction.

Agreed...I'm not trying to trash the movie -- remember, I posted "Thumbs Up" stuff with my original post, too. Just responding to your responses.

Definitely an 8/10 movie!

Right before Padme died, what did she say to Obi? Thanks!

"There is still good in him"

Chaos, i hope my comments didn't come across as criticizing or anything. Didn't intend for them to :)

As for me 9.5/10 .... just a few minor problems (Dialogue being the main one)

I wanted Jar Jar to die!!
And, I kinda felt sorry for Anakin, he got played by Palpatine/Sidious so bad, and by the way, after Sidious told him Padme was dead, wouldn't that leave him no reason for turning to the dark side of the force? Hell, if I were him I would've pwn3d Sidious's ass right then and there

agree...Palp tells anakin that if he goes to the dark side he could save Padme...so Anakin goes Dark...then Padme still dies...so why doesn't Anakin fvk up Palp/Sid then?

Still loved the movie though...sucks it's the last one..

I don't think I've ever cringed so much at dialogue in my life. Honestly, I think the writing was a step backwards from the last two. I can't believe poor James Earl Jones actually said that garbage.

Other than that, the explosions were pretty and it was loud. So all in all, it was what I expected. C+

After reading what happens in the movie is Jedi Master Mace Windu the only that had a chance against Lord Sidious? From what I read it seems Windu was better at fighting Lord Sidious then Yoda was.

/geek alert

just looking at the saber colors, it would seem as if yoda was a jedi consular, which would indicate that he's more trained in force usage (throwing stuff, lightning, etc) than combat, whereas Windu seemed to be all combat and not much force power usage (weapon master, maybe... dunno. purple had no class assosiation in any of the KotOR games).

He also knew Vaboda.. the lost saber combat style..

All this makes you wonder. Yoda seems to have trained everyone there, so who was Yodas master  ?

Thats kinda harsh Werk. You gave it a C+ simply because of a few lines of dialogue?!

Because when he plays in movies, he should be his character, not Sam Jackson. His character's name is Mace Windu, not Sam Jackson. He's completely out of character with the rest of the folks in the film. He's too "badass black-attitude man" and not enough "jedi master." I'm glad he died. He played his character horribly.

Sam Jackson is Shaft. He's not Mace Windu.

because Anakin believes Palpatine when he is told that he killed Padme himself.

but sid did say she dies by anakin's hands...so it would be silly for him to go after sid

what I don't get is why anakin still becomes sid's apprentice even after padme died? if she was the sole reason he turned to the dark side, then what's the point of him staying dark after she died? There would not be a need for EP. 4,5,6 .....

I found this online...let's analyze this:

ANAKIN: NO!!!

Just as MACE is about to slash PALPATINE, ANAKIN steps in and cuts off the Jedi's hand holding the lightsaber.

As MACE stares at ANAKIN in shock, PALPATINE springs to life.
The full force of Palpatine's powerful Bolts blasts MACE. He attempts to deflect them with his one good hand, but the force is too great. As blue rays engulf his body, he is flung out the window and falls twenty stories to his death. No more screams. No more moans. PALPATINE lowers his arm.

PALPATINE: Power! Unlimited power!

His face has changed into a horrible mask of evil. ANAKIN looks on in horror. PALPATINE cackles.

ANAKIN: What have I done?

ANAKIN sits.

PALPATINE: You are fulfilling your destin, Anakin. Become my apprentice. Learn to use the dark side of the Force.

ANAKIN: I will do whatever you ask.

PALPATINE: Good.

ANAKIN: Just help me save Padme's life. I can't live without her. I won't let her die. I want the power to stop death.

PALPATINE: To cheat death is a power only one has achieved, but if we work together, I know we can discover the secret.

ANAKIN kneels before PALPATINE.

ANAKIN: I pledge myself to your teachings. To the ways of the Sith.

PALPATINE: Good. Good. The Force is strong with you. A powerful Sith you will become. Henceforth, you shall be known as Darth . . . Vader.

ANAKIN: Thank you. my Master.

PALPATINE: Rise, Darth Vader.

1) ok, what did palpatine mean by "power, unlimited power"?

2) when palpatine told anakin he didn't know how to cheat death yet, why didn't anakin just strike him down then?

3) on the lava planet, anakin told padme he was going to kill the emperor....so when he found out padme died, why didn't he kill the emperor? he obviously craves power...

Obviously lots of plot holes and general fvckups in Episode III, should've been a bit more polished, and some of the dialogue SUCKED, "I love you" "I love you more!!"

Just got back-
Very solid movie.

Can someone quickly explain why they would choose Janga (sp.) Fett as the model for all of the clone troppers? Why would they pick that random guy for them? Thanks.

From whatI understand jango was the best warrior (bounty hunter) they could find that would agree to go through with it.

You have to remember how old yoda was.

I don't think many normal humanoids live that long. :D
