I'm not sure if I'm going to subscribe to TOR being dying way too much on Tatoonie, frustration is kicking in and that's when you don't enjoy the game,oh and I have had a long break since I did not play last night due to long queues.

Roll on Mass Effect 3 🙂.

Anyway think I'll go back to Skyrim now.

You should join us on Shii-Cho, you'll die less and laugh more 😉

What about the level 50 endgame? I guess that's IN-fight regen that I'm talking about now. How long is the final boss fight of a raid supposed to last; is there any need to practice mana management, etc.

I can't answer for end-game but for some classes (maybe all) your in-fight regen is faster the less you need to regen. So basically you can blow all your mana/whatever in an emergency but to be your best you should be trying to keep your resource less than 40% consumed to keep the fastest regen for long fights.

If you don't manage your resource, you will run out during boss fights. However, there are resource-less attacks and CD abilities that allow you to regain some resource during the fight.

Any good guides besides the official ones for all the skills? I'm kinda lost as I never played an MMO with this must stuff to choose from. I mean c'mon the morality choices are already killer and now I have to decided how to spend my pilot skills? 😛

So I'm interested in any links for space flight stuff, crafting and character skills. Gonna give google another go. Thanks!

I'm not going to worry about it since its only a game, besides plenty of games out there that I do enjoy 🙂.

Right I'm off to Skyrim.

Just curious, did you do any flashpoint missions? OMG epic! If those don't draw you in then yeah I can see why Skyrim is pulling you that way.

what's grouping like in the game?

I assume it's required for instances/higher end content, but is there a queue system like in WoW or is it back to the days of spamming a chat channel to put together groups?

its pretty much yes for flashpoints(instances) and heroic quests (2+ or 4+) you have to go to chat or the social panel. no instance finder

I'll buy your copy of ToR for like...30 dollars.

Speaking of account sales, I get the impression that from a standpoint of leveling speed, there's going to be little point to buying accounts since you can do that part quickly enough on your own. Are there any skills that require exping beyond simply getting to 50, and/or I'm guessing though that buying well geared accounts might be worth it?

did everyone have to enter in their registration code yesterday? for some reason, i didn't have to. i was part of the early access and yesterday after picking up my pre-order and getting ready to enter my code, the game just went right into the character selection screen and i was able to play straightaway.

maybe tonight it will require me to enter my code?

I thought I read somewhere that the preorder code doesn't actually expire until 12/31. I could be wrong though.

The registration code is good for CE owners etc... since it unlocks all their CE stuff waiting in the mail once you enter the code.

lol i guess i could have just googled my question:
How can I ensure I am ready to play the Game at launch?

There will be a 48 hour ‘grace period’ for Early Game Access players post launch. Those players who are in Early Game Access will not be able to continue to play the Game after December 22nd, 12:01AM EST without completing the following required steps:

Create a SWTOR account if you have not created one
Fill out your contact information
Set up minimum 3 - maximum 5 security questions to protect your SWTOR account
Redeem an official Game Product Registration Code (This is different from your Pre-Order Code. Your Product Registration Code is the code tied to the official Game.)
Sign up for a recurring subscription or enter a Pre-Paid Game Time Code.

That sucks. One of the coolest things Blizz ever implemented in WoW was the cross server grouping. Oh well maybe they'll get around to adding it eventually.

Cross server grouping was great in order to get groups together quickly with the LFG system, but it nearly killed the social aspect of grouping. I have met some really good people over the years in MMOs and generally the first time I played with them was as a random group put together with multiple strangers. And anybody who has played MMOs can tell you, what keeps people coming back day in and day out isn't just the content, it's the socialization among guildmates and friends. How many of us over the years have logged in JUST to chat?
