wait a sec i'm confused. are you guys saying that even if you entered in your product registration code successfully and your account says you have 30 days of game time left starting on 20 Dec, 2011 you're still being prevented from playing until you set up a subscription?

can you just enter a 60-day game card code or do you actually have to enter cc info and choose a plan?

also, can i do the esseles flashpoint as a level 10 JC with just my companion (qyzon fess)?

You need to either set up a game card/time card or a subscription with a CC. Either works.

No, you won't be able to solo the Esseles flashpoint at level 10 with a companion. Even with two players with companions (depending on the group make-up) it can be hard on the boss fights as you'll need to manually pull your companions out of the fire for certain bosses.

can i go to coruscant first and finish up other quests and come back and do it later?

Saw on FB this morning the website login page was offline while they worked to on key redemption and subscription issues. So anyone trying this morning might have been caught within that window.

I put in a subscription last night, but it forced me to use my old credit card that I used to order the game and unfortunately that card has been cancelled for a couple of weeks now and there was nowhere that I could find to change it to my new card.

It accepted the cancelled card though, so I guess I'll just deal with it when they try to put the charge through and it fails. :hmm:

Wierd, I put in my subscription and cc info this morning with no issues.

My static group just hit 17 last night and did hammer station. It took us all of 20 minutes and was a breeze. Did it 4 more times and geared us all in lvl 17 blues/oranges, my mercenary even got 2 orange blasters out of it, which was a good thing because I was retarded and purchased 2 lvl 16 Balmorra commendation blasters based on Cunning, which my merc needed Aim, Lolz. 2 lvl 16 Balmorra pistols cost 28 commendations!@!@!@!@

On my 27 OP, I got a first taste of open world pvp. Of course I won considering I was stealthed and the Trooper had no clue what was going on and DPSs me until he overheated then sat there rifle shotting me.

I did the Essella (Ellesella, spelling???) flashpoint on Coruscant last night with a random group and it was awesome. Took way longer than I expected, but the flashpoints are pretty freaking great overall and the guys I played with were super nice and helpful; in fact pretty much all of players I've encountered out in the wild so far seem to be actual, reasonable human beings, which is a bit surprising.

Yeah, something appears to be screwed up as I redeemed my real product code as soon as I got it earlier this week and it's telling me I have no active subscription when I try to log in. Go go MMO launch screw up!

They're not talking about the product code. They want you to add subscription info -- either a game card or credit card. I had registered my game code the day I got it but never bothered putting in any account information. I went to Best Buy this morning while out running errands and just got a 60 day card, entered it, and got in fine.

EDIT: Nevermind, I see you discovered the issue a few messages later.

Yes, that is what we're saying and IMO, it is really dumb.

You can enter a 60-day game card. I was out running errands this morning and stopped by Best Buy and bought one. I redeemed it and it let me right back into the game.

Learned long ago not to be first in line with software things, so haven't bothered to enter my product code yet.

Did notice queues were a good bit lower last night, think paart of this may be those who preordered but didnt buy starting to drop off.

Finished the old market area on coruscant. Odd thing though was I wasn't offered any quest after that. Guess I'll just have to go flying to the other areas to get some more. Found it relatively weird not to get a breadcrumb quest though.

Wish you could alter your companions. Was much happier with the first one I got on thhe trooper or the sith knigt, not so much the consular.

So far I've had a breadcrumb up to level 28 (and still going), from what I understand there's supposed to be class quests up until 45-48 or so. Hit L to make sure there's not another one in your log that you're just not tracking. Otherwise, you probably missed a quest or two and you'll need to go back and find it to continue your class quest line. It's required to get your ship and future companions.

imo, it's more than dumb. they say that you get 30 days free subscription when you purchase the game. but to require that you subscribe for more time in order to use the 30 days has to be bordering on misrepresentation.

i'm not entitled to what they say is free without paying for something else?

my thoughts, maybe stating the obvious:

in-game: good, room for improvement
website: poor. why take it down all the time? so people can't complain on your dime.
game server concept and execution: very poor
purchasing, registration, activation, et cetera: probably the worst ever

Yeah I was gonna ask you if you wanted to run something last night seeing as how you are new to the MMO scene. The reasonable human beings part won't last forever so enjoy it while you can.

Recently it seems like the little things are starting to annoy me. Like if you buy the wrong item with commendations you cannot resell it to the vendor and get them back. The AH interface had to been done while on a drinking bender. How they list the items that vendors sell is bad as well, really anything UI related. Also whoever decided on Qyzen Fess to only use techblades is an ahole.

I agree it's pretty rediculous. At least they don't charge your credit card (if that's what you use) til the 30 days is up though.

How long do flashpoints last? Are they often/usually longer than an hour?
The first one you can do on each respective faction is pretty long because of the amount of cutscenes. If your group doesn't skip through most of the dialogue it can last an hour if not more. The next set after that don't have that many cutscenes and the few they do have don't last that long.

i've only done the first one. i think it was way more than an hour, but it was awesome! it was like watching a star wars movie, that you're in! a few of us forum members hooked up and had a great time. these are the highlights of the whole game.
