Analog control stick on the XBox. How are you going to differentiate on the keyboard sneaking up behind someone very slowly as opposed to just regular walking?

games like this just don't port well to keyboard controls, just like 1st person shooters don't usually port to well to a game pad.
Especially with all the sneaking and need of a pressure sensative moving device. you can't do thst with a keyboard.

What are you talkinga about? I play the Xbox version.. I couldn't get used to the control whatsoever.. it's too complicated... M&K are much easier to use.

How long'd you play it? 2 minutes? Are all video games too complicated for you?

Ditto, it's hella easy to play. You must have all thumbs

No, I don't feel like downloading a 150mb demo when I have the XBox version. I'm pretty damn sure the XBox version is easier anyhow 😛

Sneak? Why would they need to sneak. In a week some l337 H4x0rz will allow Sam to Bunny Hop CS-style without tripping any alarms 😛

The Quake mod with a rocket launcher will be better though IMO. Splinter Cell won't be Splinter Cell until you get a rocket launcher.

...which seems like a huge pain to me. I was disappointed that I couldn't even use my analog stick on my PC controller to run. Grr frustrating.

And even with all settings on High, the graphics were worse than the X-Box version. I was disappointed.

PC demo wont even boot up on my computer.

I dont know whats wrong, I have a 2100 XP and a 4400 Geforce 4. I run the program and the screen just goes blank and it sits there.

Sucks.

Same with me. I could run it for a few seconds and then it would go all white with dots and I'd have to reboot. I hope the full version is fixed. It's a damn fun game for the few minutes i played it.

The only that I don't like is that guards don't seem to notice when you open and close doors.

You use the mouse wheel.

I don't see how an analogue stick is easy to use but a mousewheel is hard to use. Every game on a console where I had to walk with the analogue stick I briefly gave up. Usually because it was a sensitive touch between walking and running and that slip while turning could cost me my life. Most console games usually have a key you can push also to walk like r1 or r2 and I'd rather do that. In that same instance, there will be a key on the PC or I can use mousewheel. In counter-strike, you have to change between walk and run A LOT if you want to out smart another human (much harder than ai). Switching between the 2, I always used a mousewheel. I don't see how using the mousewheel is hard, since if you are using a mouse at all, it is directly under your hand.

I scroll up 1 click, I'm running. I scroll down 1 click, I'm walking.

Great graphics but I found the gameplay sleep inducing and too scripted.

* waits for Deus Ex 2 *

They do if it makes a lot of noise.
