***OFFICIAL SOPRANOS THREAD***

OK... This preshow hype is pissing me off. I thought that the whole idea of HBO is that it's supposed to be uncensored AND commercial free?

****SPOILER ALERT****

Damnit - this episode sucks. I guess it was inevitable we'd have at least one pointless dream-sequence episode following Tony's shooting, but it still sucks. It annoys the hell out of me that, after a two-year hiatus, we are faced with such a worthless episode, the second week of the season.

EDIT: Okay, the second half seems to be much better. It's actually quite moving.

I like the dream-sequences. IMO, it usually tells us a lot more than the normal episode.

The preview for next week looks great though. Looks like the power struggle from everyone else is going to give us a lot of action, but hard to imagine that without Tony.

I thought this episode sucked. The dream sequence was once again a complete waste of time.

Good Grief...you momos are all blood and guts.

It was fine and still a great episode. Allowing the audience to really know the characters is a lost art...this adds depth and dimension... most programs have characters that are only one or two dimensional...this show and series rocks...the dream sequences are similar to his sesssion with Lorraine Bracco... you get to know Tony on such a granular level..it make the show more believable and likeable...going around capping people and shots at the Bada Bing are NOT what make the show great.

Are you people kidding? That episode was amazing.
I agree

Also, the moral for the season? tough guys are only human? Heart attack, suicide, alzheimers, they are killing the cast in non mob related ways...........

oh yeah, "Maybe he was a homo and didnt have anyone to talk to about it"

That line had me LOL'ing. I wonder if he woulda said it if Finn was sitting in the room. 🙂

I thought it was a good episode, and I am usually not one for dream sequences and metaphoric crap. It's getting down to the end of the series so it was pretty significant. IMO, Tony is toast, either brain damaged or dead by the end of the season. If so they really know how to go out with a bang.

I'm pissed off I passed on the casino to watch what turned out to be the standard dream sequence episode. Glad they got it out of the way early in the season.

Although it started off somewhat slow, I was rather impressed with it at the end. Pretty good episode.

Yeah, I have to agree. Even the dream sequence turned out not to be AS annoying as I had initially feared. I guess I still consider both of the first two S6 episodes a little mediocre, but I'm happy the show is back!

What's a good episode in your opinion? I know it's probably not easy to remember every episode, but does anything stick out in your mind?

bah. Forgot all about it. Missed the first 30 mins. Anyone mind recapping wut happened? when i began watching, tony was in the hospital and the doctor was telling him he had alzheimers. O guess that was a dream or something.
