Well, didn't think they'd end with only showing that many games. Not many new announcements. I think they should have dug into more VR games.

Kind of ended on a low note if you ask me. No big reveal or anything.

Well, at least we know there are games coming which is what I wanted. I expected a little blurb about new console but they were silent. I'm surprised since MS went all in on Hardware, but I do think it's better Sony went the software route and just showed new games coming rather than hardware talk. I just thought they would have an updated model for x-mas with UHD drive etc. Guess they are just going to do the current system and the Neo with no 3rd option.

Sony already mentioned before E3 that they were not going to talk about any new upgraded console so that was off the table already.

I thought for sure they would mention something about a new console since MS did, but I think Sony did the right thing this time.

They said the Neo wouldn't be there, not that they weren't going to mention any hardware entirely though. I figured they'd have a UHD drive enabled unit to match MS. I guess Sony figured they can just sell software and don't need to keep up with anyone on hardware that isn't gaming related since they have VR this fall.

Also can play Lego Star Wars Force Awakens.

Next February seems like it'll be crammed with Horizon Zero Dawn, Persona 5, and Resident Evil 7 all slated for release.

That was have been cool for a new smaller PS4 but it's already pretty small and they are killing Microsoft in sales so they don't really need the help. Microsoft made a mistake talking about their newer faster console at the same time as the smaller current one.

I'm most interested in seeing what RE is going to be. It looks more like a survival horror in the same gameplay as Amnesia. Its not a VR exclusive thank god.

Their non-VR demo of FF15 looked more interesting than the MS demo of the game. The combat looks rough but the exploration looks good.

Best thing about MS stuff is I can play it on my PC now.

They could have really boosted sales by laying out an upgrade program. Something like "Buy an Xbox One S today and trade it in toward a Scorpio in 2017 for full credit." That way they don't kill sales and it would only cost them the difference between $299 and whatever an Xbox One S sells for refurbished from the MS store. So $30 dollars or so plus logistical cost. Then they'd get a huge Scorpio install base right off the bat.

I'd think the lost sales and userbase from people waiting would be more damaging than an upgrade program.

Yeah and I just don't feel like MS has the games to back up the hardware right now.

I think that Insomniac Spider-Man game could be pretty good too.

God of war and horizon are my favorite games shown so far! Really hoping both of those turn out to be good games. Rest was ok but nothing terribly special. I was expecting some talk about PS vue but it was all games.

I really liked how they went right into game reveals instead of having someone come out before every reveal.

Before they showed Kratos, I thought that little kid was for the Horizon game.

I thought it might be a Viking action game or something.

You don't want to play as Prompto!? D:

I think many of the VR trailers were cheesy. The problem also is that when you show someone a trailer of a game meant to be played in VR it just looks like any first person game. Especially that fps game they showed that could be any shooter. You can't really get the feeling of VR from videos. So I think the reactions reflected that.

Yea I'm not a huge fan of VR stuff. I think it will be the next 3D, fad for a while but will eventually fade away.

I think the home 3D stuff is crap but I disagree about VR. I think it will be the next revolution and it will only get better as the technology matures. We are just in the beginning of real VR now. I definitely plan to get some sort of VR no later than 2017, just not sure which yet.

On Friday my local Best Buy is going to be showing off some of the Playstation VR headsets. I want to drop by there after work, and test one out... since I haven't had the opportunity to try a VR headset yet. It should be pretty fun for my daughter and I to check out.

I wasn't able to watch, though I'm kind of glad I missed it. I'd have been really underwhelmed. Horizon is THE GAME that was going to get me into a PS4. With it delayed, that means I don't even have to consider a purchase until 2017, and if they follow MS with a new console then, I might as well wait for that as well, meaning I'll be backed up into late-2017 before I consider a Sony console.

Detroit: Become Human seems cool from a conceptual standpoint, more than anything. It's like an intro to building AI or something, and I like that thought. However, I worry about if it'll interest me as a game.

I still don't get the interest in The Last Guardian. Last year's reveal did absolutely nothing for me. I'll have to see the footage from this year, but I don't expect it'll change my opinion.

Crash remastered disappoints me. If you're going to do that, do it with a new game in-mind, IMO. The only time I find myself wanting a remastered series is if something new in that series comes out and I want to see the previous content, which leads me to...

I'd be interested in God of War, but I'm not. I've never played the games before (minus an hour or two of the first on PS2). Without the rest of the story, I just don't have interest in jumping into that franchise. That they ONLY remastered God of War 3 for PS4 was really lame. My cousin felt the same, as he got a PS4 and considered getting God of War remastered, until he saw it was only the third one. On the flip side of that, I'm glad they redid Uncharted, because I might play the remasters of that someday.

Overall, the main game I wanted is delayed, and there's another that intrigues me. Not too much from Sony for me to get excited about. Horizon and The Show remain the driving interests for me, kind of sad that they couldn't get me interested in anything else over the past year, though Detroit might do that.
