Why? afraid that kings will beat LA this year? oh wait they may never get the chance...
spurs seem to have a good shot at it too...

nm... I guess it pays to read before posting.

I am a Kings fan, it is likely that SA will take them out. However I don't really care if the Kings win, I just want to indirectly (or directly) see the Lakers lose!

Kings fan here. I was hoping we would see another Sac v LA WCF but that doesn't look like it is going to happen. If there is any team out there that should have peoples respect it is San Antonio. The spurs are playing out of their mind! I figure they are overacheiving at this point. Following a dramatic and satisfying series against the Laker's I think you are going to see a spurs letdown, there is no way they can maintain the level of play they are at against both a Lakers squad and a Kings squad. If they do then they certainly deserve a championship and I couldnt think of a better way to send the Admiral out to retirement.. David Robinson deserves it. But with all that said:

This is the Kings year.

In retrospect, should Webber and Jackson have been playing so late during the Game 2 blowout? I guess there may have been a chance of a comeback, but Adelmen should have been satisfied with a split by the time the 3rd Q ended.

lakers lost both rick fox and devean george though. the rest are either inexperienced (pargo, rush), foul a lot (madsen, medvedenko), or are old and slow (shaw, horry). dunno if lakers are gonna make it out of that one.

I will say I gained a new respect for the Kings and their coach tonight, when they let Nick shoot those last 2 free throws after he'd already scored like 34.... playoff gamesmanship at its finest

Because Dallas had a better record. The seedings only set homecourt advantage in the first round, after that it is determined by record.

Better regular season record. The Mavs had one more win during the season than the Kings, so they get homecourt.

Good Win last night, now we need to steal one in Dallas.....
We can still do it without Webber, this team ISN'T dead.

i don't think the kings are dead without webber. they still got a good enough bench to win it.

Yeah....I live half an hour away from Arco and so I'm around Kings fans but a lot of people are giving up.
We haven't lost yet, and we aren't down in the series. Have a little faith and support your team is what I say.
Being at a college I know people from all over, and the Dallas fans I know are already looking ahead to the Lakers. If they keep doing that it will bite
them in the butt, they need to focus on the moment, not the future. I saw some pre-game interviews and the Mavs all were a little too confident, and their demeanor was that they had this series in the bag. If they keep that attitude the Kings will feed off of it. Yes, the Webber injury sucks but it is not like anyone is going to give up, and it is time to see this bench step up. I don't want any of my friends making excuses about Webber if we lose this series because we are still very good without him. I noticed this thread died very quickly because of the Webber injury, I hope that you guys aren't bandwagon fans that give up with things are at their darkest, because this isn't the end of the line.

You're serious right? Because Nick Van Exel is one of the most annoying guys in the league. That was great when Adelman did that...couldn't have done it better myself.
