Sox are good. Good enough to outlast NY, even if that NY bullpen is pretty shaky?

If the Sox 3/4/5 starters, and if the bullpen can actually pull itself together and can actually put together a few games where they can get batters out without giving up 10 runs in the process, there's no doubt they can outlast NY. There's no comparison in the hitting department, Sox definately have the edge there. The bullpens between the two teams are a tossup, probably with the Sox having the slight edge.

There's a contest going around where you could win World Series tickets for life. A friend of mine (a low down, bottom feeding, Yankess fan) said I should enter it. That way, I may have a chance of being there when the curse breaks.

Good Game for the Red Sox!

only wav i can find, Red Sox Win;

Nice find on the .wav file. I believe that's Ned Martin with that call, he just passed away earlier this year, I grew up listening to him call the Sox on tv, along with Ken Coleman (who also passed away last month) and Joe Costiglione on the radio.

i recognize the voice,
i have listened to some Red Sox games in the past;

I like, Mets,St.Louis,Yankees,and Red Sox

in that order,so i usually have someome to root for,
but,at times its tough,such as now,when the Yankees,who i like a little better than Boston,are so close
in the run for the series...

If Boston gets to the World Series this year, Wow!!

Boston is kicking the Yankees again today, waaaaaah!

7-0 5th inning. :(

1919: In his first full season as an OF Babe Ruth establishes a new Major League record with 29 HR. The 29 HR by the Bambino was more then any other team's total. However, the Red Sox struggled to finish in 6th Place with a disappointing 66-71 record.

1920: It was clear entering the new decade that Babe Ruth was one of baseball's premier stars, and was destined to be a star Red Sox fans would be able to enjoy for many years. However, the Bambino's Red Sox career would come to a sudden and shocking end on January 3rd when Red Sox owner, and Broadway producer Harry Frazee sold him to the New York Yankees for $100,000. The sale was made so Frazee could produce a Broadway Musical entitled "No-No Nanette." This would change the paths of the 2 teams forever. Prior to the deal the Red Sox won 5 Championships, while the Yankees won none. Since the deal the Yankees have won 26, while the Red Sox have won none. The Red Sox would go to finish in 4th Place with a 72-81 record, in their first season without the Babe.http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com/al/bosox/redsox.html

These announcers on Fox 5 are the most boring, annoying dudes imaginable. One great one-sided game and they're talking about Tiger Woods?

I know, I know, I can turn down the sound and put on the radio.

Damnk, those Sox look good. Still, Yanks remain in first place.

Haha, how ironic this thread got a bump, since it was made for the regualr season series they had back in early September, and not for the soon to be ALCS. ;)

I bumped it for you,as the Red Sox,Won,and have a 5th game,and 1 last chance!

The Cubs won,and are moving on too!!

No way its going to really happen,but,it is "possible" for those two to meet! :Q:confused:
