That and they have no idea how to use a dB meter - all they're picking up is air moving/noise because it's too close to the card. 🙄

When I saw the games they were benchmarking I didn't even bother reading the rest of it, but yeah they are doing it wrong.

Normal resolutions with a crossfire setup that powerful are just massive overkill.

I even think that 2560x1600 would be too small of a resolution for crossfire 7970's.

Crossfire and SLI are synonymous with eyefinity.

[H] has a preview of the Gigabyte O/C model with a Windforce cooler. Interesting that the promo shots have the Gigabyte blue PCB, but the card itself has a black PCB. Presumably a reference board with their custom cooler (a new and improved version 🙂). The card also looks quite thin. Looks like ~1.5 slots. Should be helpful in crossfire with boards that only have 2slot spacing for the pci-e slots. :thumbsup:
