We don't hold them back, we simply tell them when it is, and when it is not, acceptable to use the weapons that we sell (give) them. They listen because they don't want us to stop selling (giving) them weapons.

Israel had a full fleet of attack aircraft in the skies heading for the Iraqi border but the US wouldn't give them the ident codes so they risked being seen as bogeys by the coalition forces.

One big game of chicken.

I think this will come out as a Obama victory as far as from a public standpoint, the media will of course call it a tie. Personally neither guy did great but in the end that hurts McCain more than Obama at this point in the game

They could have fired missiles back - which they did with the patriots later on, but they are defensive units.
