When I told her to get down on her knees to pray for her, she mistook the position. Not that I minded one bit. Shortly after that, there was an early release.

I did pray for her. I hope she does ok in jail. I also hope she learned a lesson about life. Sometimes because factors happen and we end up in a bad situation. I do feel sorry for her.

So a DUI is OK because you are wealthy?

So it is now also OK to also blow probation after the fact?

All that inherited money and she can not afford to call a cab or arrange a ride in a limo after she gets too intoxicated at one of her nightly parties? Surely even a paparazzi would have given her a lift home for just a few crotch shots and a quickie in the back seat.

I bet if she ran over someone you cared for while drunk, you would not be so quick to pray for her. Then you would be praying for her punishment instead.

She is grossly irresponsible on a constant basis. There for we can just pray it all away like it never happened, time after time, and somehow still feel sorry for her in the process?

What did you pray for, anyhow? That she pulls her tiny head out of her large and expensive crack and acts like an responsible adult for once in her life and not like some air headed, whiny spoiled brat that was never disciplined? Unless you are on TV pitching religion and praying for the all mighty dollar it requires to survive, your prayers will never be answered.

Please do not waste your time or your prayers on that which is obviously unworthy.

But if you really want to pray for her, go right ahead. The Almighty needs a good laugh once in a while, too.

P.s. I am going to save my prayers for Britney Spears instead.

..pray to gawd that she never ends up behind the wheel again. she violated her probation and was driving without a lic. that should keep her in cabs for a long time.

this is a thread for thoughts and prayers to help Paris through what by all accounts is the most difficult thing she has ever had to face.

..ya. staying sober.

HAHAHA i just saw on the news what happened...

i'm so glad that bitch is going back to jail. i'm just sad that her stay isn't longer.

the media's talking about fears that she might do something to herself when she's in jail.... personally, i'm counting on it. with any luck she'll kill herself.

The Paris Hilton adventure is the only thing that got cheers from all 30+ doctors in our physician's lounge today (Republicans, Democrats, terrorists, etc 😛). It's sad that the judicial system has to do the basic parenting that her Billionaire parent's couldn't afford time for.

Maybe if she was sent to her room a few times as a child she wouldn't be so apathetic to life. "What's the big deal" is her reaction to DUI. As a physician, I feel sorry for her parents. Well, pity is more like it. When comedians like Conan O'Brien joke that her daughter is in jail and everybody in the audience (including myself) cheers. The roads of LA were that much safer with her and Lohan off the streets.

The only praying I'll do is that she learn some basic humility and respect for other humans. If she doesn't pick that up, my wish is for her party friends to accidently back up over her while intoxicated and cripple/disfigure her and then have them say "What's the big deal". Yes this will never happen, it's only the dream of a twisted physician.

I waited for reports to see how the shuttle's launch faired, but could only get this trash repeatedly on the air. Doesn't help that out lovely Sherrif head released her (as if LA didn't look stupid as it was). I lost a lot of respect for Baca yesterday 🙁

If she's crying in prison here (yes, I know it is enough to make some people commit suicide), then perhaps she should see what child slavery is like in other parts of the world. She has to be almost cyborg like to be that indifferent :disgust:

Today, this news has been everywhere on tv. Whichever place you go that has a tv has this news on it. Fox News and all the others are spending hour after hour covering the latest news about Paris Hilton. LOL, this is pretty funny to think about it. But why?

So much stuff happening and we are spending hours covering this story? I guess stuff like this sells so I can't really blame the tv networks for it. But why does it sell? Do people actually care about stuff like this?

Why? I normally hate celebrity news, but this is frickin' hilarious 😀

It goes without saying that no celebrity should get special treatment in the eyes of the law. But the converse is also true: None should get "let's set an example" treatment, either.

Geraldo Rivera is on Fox News (of all places) saying that he's challenging ANYONE to show him someone sentenced the way she was for the exact violations. No one has risen to the challenge. In other words, she's getting a far harsher sentence than everyone else for the same set of circumstances.

Fair is fair. She could have just as easily learned a tough lesson by doing tons of dirty community service; stuff she isn't used to doing, even on the Simple Life. 45 days in jail is ridiculous for her. You can harp all you want about how spoiled she is or how she leads a charmed life, etc., but that makes no difference, and it's not germane. It just makes people revel in her demise. Hey, if that's a quality you're proud to own, be my guest; that's on you.

Releasing her early is certainly not without precedent in LA County. Read:

"In fact, the loss of bed space in the jails has resulted in a reduction of capacity from its recent peak 22,214 to its present 17,400. This reduction has forced the Sheriff to release thousands of inmates from the jails before completing their sentences."

I've spent a night in jail, thank you, and it's no place anyone wants to go to, much less someone who obviously can't handle it, like her. I am far from saying she shouldn't be punished. I AM saying this judge had many options available to him that would have taught her the lesson she so badly needed while not including jail. With gangs running rampant in LA spreading drugs and violence (and remaining free from incarceration), give a moment to think about the priorities here. It's ludicrous.

Maybe the sentence IS harsher than usual for her crimes but if you've been following this case it's her ATTITUDE that get's
the judge inflamed. Claiming that she did not know her license is suspended even though an officer explained it to her AS SHE
SIGNED IT. Her "I'm Paris Hilton and laws don't count for me" approach would turn any judge against her.

I am confused. She was sentenced to 23 days in jail... then she was told to serve her entire 45 day sentence at home. Now she's being sent back to jail to fulfill that entire sentence (45 days) ?
It's always been 45 days, except with the assumed good behavior, she'd only have to spend 23 days of it. There would be no "good behavior" ruling if she did a house arrest so it'd be the full term.

Now after pulling this... you can forget about good behavior...

Thanks. Clears things up for me.

so many haters of the life they wish they had.

"Fat drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son." /Dean Wormer

She's got two out of three and she's one rabid sperm from the trifecta. That's not the life that appeals to me. I'm quite happy just being fat at this point... and I'm correcting that.

Money corrects a lot of flaws in some people's eyes. Not in this case. Not me. Stupid is as stupid does and right now stupid is doing time.
