[Mods: can we make this official, perhaps Sticky it?]

So, a few people (myself included) have been trying to get the other PS2 thread a Sticky spot with such a player list... and as you can see by this thread, that has yet to happen.

By golly, it must be, and so it shall be.

If anyone has any suggestions for more info to put into the list, feel free to suggest away.
Also, you can either request to be added to this list in this here thread, or you can PM me.

[ Official List Maintenance Note: I am, honestly, not looking forward to this. I'll give it a whirl, and if it seems to be falling way behind (and/or I disappear from the world), one of the first few posters should be prepared to throw up the edited and updated list in their post.
I'll change an "as of date" for the list, and if there's a large apparent discrepancy, shout at me through PM or something. I'll either update it, or suggest handing the reigns over, or ignore everything forever. The latter should be easy to see, so that another player on the first page can fill his/her post with the list. Hopefully I'm still around, because I can also link to the specific post in question from the OP. Until then, I'll maintain the list. ]

I would join an Anandtech outfit if there was one. I'd just make a new character on whatever server it was running on.

I figure I should also attach our Anandtech forum names up there. I've seen other lists before where they got lengthy, and didn't have the forum member names listed, and imho that makes it that much more confusing when you are actually trying to find a certain member's character.

Anyone have any objections?

For WDA and PS2, are y'all rolling specifically on that one server, all as that one faction?

I know I want to join an outfit for this game, one that has regular appearances for full squads and platoons, more often than not throughout the day. Is it common for outfits to have public squads that anyone can join? In the event I join an outfit that doesn't have a regular presence at some time of the day that I usually play, at least there's the option for regular people to fill in?

I'm looking into the option of changing servers, at least to see if that's even an option without losing character progress (already earned certs and used some! haven't bought anything with SC yet though).

Probably. We were very active in BF and now that core group has transitioned to PS2.

Yeah, we're all on that server. You're welcome to come check it out anytime. We are on Ventrilo. We usually have between 3-8 people on any given time. We're mainly USA so evenings is when we're busiest. If nothing else you can join our Ventrilo and squad up with us when we're in game. It doesn't matter. None of us are playing together and to be honest my bet would be that nobody is even playing together even if they are on the same server & faction. People have different schedules, play inconsistently (my issue), and don't always want to feel obligated to play.

The good news is that if this is anything like PS1, this game will be around for at least a few years so in that time you should have no problem finding some people to play with.

I got SOE to swap my names (I wanted "destrekor" to be my main account. They wouldn't switch a character to a different server, or wanted to take the easier way out... whichever, not really sure).

Also, officially joined DVS though need to make sure the name-change didn't cause issues.

I am suitably chastened. And sorry, I don't have modly powers in this place.

I'm in NC by the way. Thought I put that in there. Anyway, I play the game about as well as I follow directions, so you guys in Vanu and TR can come farm certs off me.
